last mgs4 pics look very bad....

Metal Gear Solid 4 looks better than Call of Duty 4, and that was in 2007. I'm not sure what the newest build looks like, but knowing Kojima Productions there have most likely been a lot of improvements graphically and definately in the gameplay department. Metal Gear Solid 4 is one of the best looking games to date, saying it looks bad would then make everything else appearantly look ugly.

I didn't even think about it at first, but it sort of does. There are no primary colors at all.

There isn't a need to add criterias. Metal Gear Solid 4 has better graphics in whatever view you play whether it will be the older top down view, or the subistence 3d view, or the over the shoulder view, or the first person view.

Dang thats a lot of views, plus you can switch the side on where the camera angle is set, so multiply some by 2!

But that could be said for literally every game because you can always take bad screens.. EG:

I know that Halo 3 looks much nicer usually, but you can always catch at bad moments?

The point is emotional empact. I don't need special effects to enjoy something. It's the same thing with movies, I can enjoy movies without having CGI and all that. A game can be awesome without 4xAA or 128 bit HDR and whatever else. To this day I enjoy SNES games.

Seriously, have you seen the game in motion? It looks just as good as CoD4, if not better. That's good enough for me. And with that said, I don't think I've ever met a single person who plays a Metal Gear game for the graphics. All this complaining about graphics is really starting to bore me. Can a fanboy enjoy a game that they think is ugly?

Lemmings hype the crap graphics on Fable 2 and Too Human, then they have the nerve to criticise MGS4

What is wrong with some people, if you call those pictures "very bad"...i dont know if you have bad eyes or something, it looks amazing maybe not best graphic out there but still amazing. MGS isnt a crysis game that main focus is get best graphic ever seen.

While the game does not even look passable IMO, it was never hyped for its graphics anyway, so what is the problem ?

Nothing is but if MSG4 game-play is horrible than the game is a failure. The game has too much talking and other boring stuff in all it is more mediocre than Resistance and Killzone one. Only metal gear solid ops was good the other ones were boring the gamplay and graphics are average.

haha oh yeah the sky is usually bright white naturally and everything has a brown/green tint when i walk outside in real life too!

It matters more about gameplay than graphics. Besides this game doesn't come out for another few months so they could be putting the final touches to the game as we speak. Has it actually occured to anyone what kind of tv this was played on like maybe.....720p or something else? Honestly though gameplay does matter more than graphics in my opinion.
