so you think sony selling like 50k (which its less than) a month more than the 360 in Japan is better for sony than the 360 selling over almost 100k than the ps3 in NA?

Prob the same reason why Sheep don't care that the DS is outselling the Wii.

A company does not compete with itself. Sony has slots 3,4 and 5 all to itself. That is not a bad thing at all.

And 3+4+5 still does not equal the 2nd place sales, much less first. 

gives the quality of the games and the price and the sales, looks like there are two battles

1) XBOX360 VS PS3

2) PS2 VS wii Gears360

theres also money they are getting from blu-ray movie sales, game royalties, and im betting they even sold a few hdtv's because of the ps3. building the ps3 as multimedia device was a profitable decision by sony.
