I have only one problem with that clip, and it is the skeleton. This is not Oblivion where skeletons are held together by magic, so its kind of very distracting when you see a skeleton all stiff and in one piece in the teaser. I mean what is keeping it all together like that?
Nuclear Bomb? Flesh instantly wiped off before the guy notices, leaving that skeleton there for the rest of eternity, undisturbed.I have only one problem with that clip, and it is the skeleton. That's what I was thinking. But in all honesty I haven't even seen a nuclear bomb tear the flesh off of not even one person so I don't know how it would work practically.

It could then decompose afterwards, this is several hundred years after the detonation after all.[QUOTE="Philmon"]Nuclear Bomb? Why would the TV remain intact?
Held together by Irony alone.
They ripped it straight out of Fallout 1.
Bu bu but teh inovashun!
Oh and there IS a quest compass. I guess the stupid inbred neophytes who effed up this genre not only can't wipe their own ass but they can't complete a game without a walkthrough.

It doesn't work that way. There would be a shock wave and the whole thing would be blown apart.

Possibly, a large item was a few metres in the direction of the TV, meaning it survives while the item there is destroyed. You seem quite angry. They ripped it straight out of Fallout 1.

Remember that this game is set in post apocalypse 1930's back when Duck & Cover was still and option. Bethesda's roleplaying a typical nuclear site planner of the time.Tony-HarrisonThere was no bomb till '45.

They're ripping off the intro from the original Fallout. In that one they had a similar advert, but the TV turned off when the camera fully pulled back revealing the post-apocalyptic setting. They weren't going for reality, clearly. It was more of a "Here's how it was before the war", but once the setting was revealed it turned to "Here's how it is now" and the TV turned off. It's pretty typical of Beth to use something they don't understand.Remember that this game is set in post apocalypse 1930's back when Duck & Cover was still and option. Bethesda's roleplaying a typical nuclear site planner of the time.Tony-HarrisonIt's set in the future as inspired by the 1950s.

Its actually set in post apoc 2200's? and the nuclear war itself was around 2070ish? It was a future where silicon chips never came into things like we have now and the culture is reminiscent of the 50's not the 30's.
I dont know but i though this trailer was really bad..they just seem to be cashing in on the old "Move away to see battered world to create epicness" that fallout 1 did correctly...now it just seem like there doing it just to do it to creat hype and have an excuse to show no gameplay or nothing new at all..they dident even make a creative trailer just ripped of the Fallout 1 trailer..and so far has done the same thing twice..
while it did show enviroment which i was happy for...the trailers need to be updated..i for one though it was just stupid for them to keep showing the same thing...show some enemies...some gameplay..ingame charaters voice...somthing about story..just anything but "SUPER DUPER MART" jesus beth..
I really wanted to play this game until I found out it has some turn based style action in it, like final fanasy and other RPG. I hate that crap why can't I just go up to a bad guy and hack n slash or shot it. Whats the point to the hit wait hit wait, it's retarted, I really hope you don't have to play the game that way and can avoid doing it if you want.xxyetixxDon't worry you can still play it like Halo.

It's different than that.
1. That is at far to high a resolution and has no jaggies, so either that is the PC version or BS.
2. I suppose if you didn't disturb the remains of a skeleton it could hold together (but by the looks of the destruction around it I doubt it)
3. If I was you I would be concerned as to why an entire house and it's occupants have been destroyed after a nuclear fallout.... but the TV still works... and whats more is there is actually an incoming transmission.

Why would the TV remain intact?
The TV is a nod to fallout, but for some reason it does not have the impact it did in fallout. I dont mind that, but the skeleton to me really looked out of place. I mean even if we were to accept the whole "vaporised flesh" idea (which makes no sense to me) the placement of the skeleton seems very weird to me. Its placement seems out of place to me with the rest of the setting. This seems even more perplexing seeing as how in Oblivion human skeletons were found in pieces and not whole.

I know what you mean. The skeleton just looks like it was thrown on the couch and is kind of floating there.
[QUOTE="Kez1984"]I wonder if this will sell better on the console or pc.mo0ksiConsidering that a lot of Fallout fans are really upset about how it's turning out, I can expect some PC gamers attempting to boycott. Not nearly as many as are going to buy it and enjoy it though, for better or worse. Like with DRM and ingame advertisements, the boycotters are just boxing themselves into a corner where they just eventually quit gaming.

£1 says that that is the skeleton model from oblivion with sword slices on the pelvic region.

I don't think they'd use the Xbox360 version. Fallout 3 doesn't have the Oblivion forests to deal with and engine technology has advanced since then. It looks pretty in game to me.

I guarantee that is. Couldn't they have done something cool like add enlarged skulls or bone mutations from the radiation?

Like I say.... PC version then it's more than believable, but games on the 360 have tended to look awful in comparison.

Clearly not... the guy didn't even get off his arse to see what all the noise was outside.
