I'm pretty sure all launch 360's are dead.VideoGameGuyYour warranty does not renew every time you have RRoD. I am a launch owner who has had 3 RRoDs. My coverage has been over, and yes, I am slightly worried about it.
IMO if it breaks after 3 years you should have to pay the 100$ repair fee, they can't cover you foreverjohnnyblazed88They should. Their poor design that causes it.

they should though, it was them that released this crappy hardware just to get a headstart.

They are totally getting screwed, or will eventually get screwed.

3 years man, then 100$ to get it fixed
thats not too bad, its electronics dude they dont last forever

You forgot the part about the M$ fanboys liking it. Check out one of the Live threads if you want to know what I mean.

IMO they should've just recalled the whole product. $100 is a hefty tag for a company knowing they released shoddy hardware. And also my SNES still works to this day with no problems so I expect a $400 (at the time) console to do the same.[QUOTE="VideoGameGuy"][QUOTE="johnnyblazed88"]IMO if it breaks after 3 years you should have to pay the 100$ repair fee, they can't cover you forevermattbbplIn all honestly the 360 SHOULD have been recalled and i'm sure if people put up a big enough fuss the government would have stepped in, it's too bad lemmings just roll over and take it. It was slightly extended, but it is now over. Any launch day owners worried?EVOLV3
how does this affect you at all?

i remember my ps2 broke a little after a year and sony didnt do anything but tell me to get another(and yes the PS2 did have wide spread problems)
atleast ms gives the 3 year warranty
do any launch 360s still exist in working form?? i dont think it matters anyway.DBhova23Yes, it does. If you bought a 360 on November 22, 2005 like I did, you no longer have a warranty, if you got RRoD or not.

yeah the PS2 is another POS hardware getting away screwing it's users.[QUOTE="VideoGameGuy"]I'm pretty sure all launch 360's are dead.BigJerm1
You're pretty wrong. I still have my launch 360, and I've never had to send it in to MS for anything. Thanks for playing though.
i feel sorry for you dude.[QUOTE="mattbbpl"][QUOTE="VideoGameGuy"]In all honestly the 360 SHOULD have been recalled and i'm sure if people put up a big enough fuss the government would have stepped in, it's too bad lemmings just roll over and take it. Yeah, they might have lowered MS A+ certification to a mere A certification. That is, if it hasn't already been taken into account to their rating.

i feel sorry for you dude.Because the game system that I've had for 3 years has never given me any problems? Yeah, you should definitely pity me. What if it were to RROD tomorrow? Oh no, I'd be out $100 to get it fixed. Or I could just go buy a brand new one for $200. Not an issue for those of us with decent jobs, really.

It's comments and people like this is how MS has gotten away with putting out crap hardware. All you lems should of boycotted MS, asked for refunds or sold it and bought the competition when this first started happening. MS won't learn if you let them get away with murder....come on people.. you can't be happy when yours dies and you are without a console for weeks.Just pointing out that a 3 year warranty is well beyond the standard for electronics. mattbbplwhich SHOULD have been a red flag for people to stay the hell away.

Just pointing out that a 3 year warranty is well beyond the standard for electronics. mattbbplThats besides the point, it shouldn't of been released in its state. They knew it was broken, they have admitted it was broken and sold it anyway just to get a head start. It shameful and plain wrong, that's not treating consumers right. It should of been quality tested before release, but they didn't and the machines are still doing it 3 years after. You people need to learn what the word Quality means. Are you going to buy a car that breaks down on you every 3000 miles and just be like oh well my warrenty covers the repairs, I guess I won't drive for 3 weeks....it's the same thing, you shouldn't have to be without console for any amount of time, and if you do it shouldn't be a worldwide problem .... MS was greedy and dissed it's consumers in more ways then one.
Damn that one dude went through 11 360's already ....every one of the people commenting on there went through multiple 360's. Why do you people buy this crap from MS? If it was from anyone else, you would of been all mad and boycotted the system and demanded a refund, consulted the better business bueara. I really hope California wins it's court case with ms!! And people need to wake up already! We have a great system out there that has more features, is built like a tank, reliable, and has most of the same multiplat games and better exclusive titles...full titles not just some crappy dlc. Come on people, sell that 360 and go buy a ps3!!!world69star69It's a real shame but that's the price of being rushed first to market.. Btw, You can't tell people to sell their 360's and get a PS3 especially if they're attached to the software that's released on the 360 already.. I can't get Halo 3 on the PS3.. I can't get Gears of War 1&2 on the PS3.. I can't get Mass effect on the PS3.. I can't get Ninja Gaiden 2 on the PS3.. I can't get PGR4 on the PS3.. I can't get Fable 2 on the PS3.. I could go on but why bother.. Besides you could purchase 2 360's for the price of the cheapest PS3 sku.. :?

Yea... Sony fanboys seem to have short term memory when it comes to faulty hardware.. I went through 2 PS2's before I got one that lasted more than 2 years.. And Sony made you pay for the repairs depending on what they thought was the problem..[QUOTE="OhSnapitz"][QUOTE="world69star69"]Damn that one dude went through 11 360's already ....every one of the people commenting on there went through multiple 360's. BTW, you mind telling me which games I listed or out for that matter that I can't play on the Arcade SKU(FF XI is the only game that comes to mind)? Thanks a bunch..
