Well 2008 is almost over. 2 big platformers are comign out this fall. its time to see which one will flop . Personlly i think Banjoo will and LBP will be an AAA game. but what your thought?
If I had to chose one I'd say banjo would be the more likely of the two. Rare's team just refuses to cater to fans and always need a gimmick to try to push the genre they are making the game for foward. They said that in a recent interview which is why we haven't seen another Killer Instinct and that pisses me off that they don't like their fans to the point of *Well if there's nothing we can't do to push the genre foward, We aren't going to do anything at all*, I loved KI and I don't care if a new one comes out with just minor improvements, I just want to play an updated version of the game and see it in all its glory. Alot of people are going to disagree with me but that's ok.
Honestly i dont understand how people think LBP will flop, its a very much "what you've seen is what you get" sort of game and everyone has loved what theyve seen. Its not like a shooter that the preview could be the one fun level and the rest of the game is kinda dull or an RPG where the mechanics are good but the story, presentation and length suck. We all know what this game is and everyone likes it
Im struggling to think of any instances where anything negative has been said about LBP. None come to mind. Its practically a guaranteed AAAE title. Make that 2 guaranteed AAAE titles for the ps3 this holiday season.

i agree with you. i was one of those fans that was very excited to hear about a new Banjo game. but what i seen is not what i wanted. i dont want to play a mario kart /plaformer wannabe. i want to play the platformer banjo i remember with better graphics.
Banjo has more chances.Infact,Banjo has ALL the chances.And BTW floping on GS doesnt mean that the game has flopped.GS reviews have been going wild lately !
banjo was hyped a bit before but I think people have backed off of it a bit. I think It's level of hype is AA now..... IDK if it can "flop" as a SW definition.
Well it seems pretty clear that LBP has been hyped AAA for some time now but I am only one of a few here that has hyped Banjo N&B. Most have not had good things to say about Banjo N&B and only think it's a AA title so with that said, I think it's more likely Banjo gets the AA then it is that LBP gets the AAA.
Regardless, both titles I think will do very well and please their fans.
Being in the LBP beta I can say that LBP should sell to everyone with a PS3. Now that's not gonna happen but I hope that game reaches as many users as possible. I'm buying Banjo and that game should not be a flop at the 40 dollar price point.
I would say Banjo out of both of them. It doesn't seem to be as good as it should be and it is not much of a platformer whereas Little Big Planet looks to have alot of cool elements.

The official PlayStation magazine. Not the most unbiased source, but that's a pretty amazing score.
