I guess getting married is more important than Mass Effect >.>

Huh, good luck I guess and oh, I'd rather the RPG designers be leaving since the game-play in ME2 and I'm sure ME3 isn't the problem I have with the series at this time.
J/K but only a lil bit :P
C'mon, dude. That's a bucketful of generalization you've got there. No wonder ME2 is not-so-hardcore RPG, because a woman lead the design. Women don't generally play RPGs. Their ideas of RPG is not that of BG2, but something more on-the-surface.
Still, the biggest lead of ME franchise is Casey Hudson.

Hehe I had a good chuckle at this.
Everything she said always sounded bad, so I can't say I am going to miss her.

Could this be the reason behind the delay?N7v1K0Doesn't seem related. It's only one person, and seems to have been replaced rather quick.

[QUOTE="malikmmm"]is there a correlation between Brent Knowles and (Christina Norman) mass effect 2 lead designer ? -Brent Knowles was the lead designer of dragon age origins but left bioware because he didnt liked where the DA2 was going (completely different from original game) -now it seems like the lead designer of mass effect has also quit and do you really think that marriage was the sole reason or can there be others ?mrmusicman247Well don't you think she would have said up front that she didn't like where ME3 was going like Brent Knowles did? well if my memory serves me well Brent Knowles actually waited for a couple of months(or after DA2 was released) before expressing his opinion, he didnt just expressed his opinion right off the bat after leaving bioware.
and not everyone is comfortable in expressing their views you know.

He posted about leaving when the game was well into production - late last year I think.
[QUOTE="Birdy09"]I'm going to sound harsh for this, but good. The game needs better gameplay, and quite frankly if she is the lead gameplay designed making these dumbed down decision final then oh well, bye bye.lowkey254I agree.
What if she left becuase she was frustrated with management not letting her improve the gameplay?

......She was the one who made the push to change ME1 combat to ME2 combat. Everything you whine about which makes ME2 combat better is because of her. You've got to be working with CD Projekt to be making comments as outrageous as this one.I'm more shocked that ME2 had a designer.

I'm sure it's the ppl in suits (publishers) who decide such major things about their games.
That's why most of the innovation and free thinking can be found in indie games.
Where's Mirror's Edge 2? Nah we get a CoD ripoff instead. etc.
If you want to blame someone it's the publishers, I'm sure developers are just as passionate for gaming as we are, they don't really want to sit and make map packs all day long, but they have to bring food to the table too.
Some people here take my joke seriously.
Humor aside, the direction of a particular game is often decided by the executive, not a single designer.
DA2's direction is clearly one such example.
It is practiced not only within Bioware, but the industry entire.
This is one of the reasons we draw the line between the major gaming industry and the independent gaming industry.

if it was a joke, it was in extremely poor taste
Sort of off-topic, but not too much :P...
Didn't they take out the view bobbing affect from the first one in both 2 and the previews of 3? I loved that immediately in ME1, it really added to the style when you were aiming down your sights.
You've got to be working with CD Projekt to be making comments as outrageous as this one. Are you suggesting CDProjekt can afford an advertising team big enough to waste time on forums? :DI'm more shocked that ME2 had a designer.
