Demos has always been free on PC. YOu are a fool to think demos are worth playing for. Demos are just a marketing tool used by developers. They pass it out for free. And keep telling yourself that demos are worth paying for.... that is 1 less game per year. Over 5 yrs, that cost really adds up. So just keep telling yourself that demos are worth paying for it. lol
you are misinformed too. YOU CAN GET DEMOS WITH A XBOX LIVE SILVER ACCOUNT!
My bad, I guess I haven't been using LIVE since I cancelled it on myXBOX. My apologies. No-one should pay for online when much of the world's gamers get it for free. Besides, we have to pay for an internet connection already.
demos were always free as it should be.:|
they did here you go.

The next firmware renewal decreases the memory use by the XMB during games. Presently, 64MB of XDR RAM, 32MB of GDDR3 VRAM, and the entire 7th SPU are always reserved for the XMB even during games. Firmware 2.0 will reduce the memory usage to 32MB of XDR and NO GDDR3. XMB will still run on the 7th SPU but the 7th SPU wont be reserved, other things can be run on the SPU besides the XMB.

Wow. Are they gonna make 2.0 obrigatory making developers include the update in the discs?
be honest with your self here mate...they wouldnt have to cut things from the in-game access of the xmb if the memory was capable of having all the things there..they just would'nt need to if the memory was sufficent...
remember dont quote this post again..5 qoutes rule :)...

i know for a fact that the reserved footprint in the memory will be reduced over time like they did with psp, its better to reserve to much than to little. and from a other poster on the first page it seams that they are already coming down to what the 360 had reserved, but we don't know if its true because his linkis from a forum, but I'm crossing my fingers :)

wow i'm so jealous that cows will be able to waste their time other than playing a real video game; or maybe it's cause they won't have any :?... But if you seriously don't think MS is working on anything then you are a fool. I bet they are planning a ripoff of Home right now.
of course demos should be free...but shouldnt online be free too? i mean, pc gamers dont pay for online. why should xbox gamers. just kind of sucks that ms charges for what was free before.p2rus
It's for the service and infrastructure. Keeps it reliable and allows easy and standardized XBL support for all devs.

except one: online multiplayer.

There should a required amount of knowledge you have to have about something before you can post about it or critisize it. Because what you are doing just isn't cutting it.
