In real life instead of hell I dislike Jrps and sports games. For sports games I'd rather play myself unless its baseball or hockey. Jrpgs are well jrpgs I mean seriously y do some ppl like them better then wrpgs?? I understand opinions but I don't get it.
Fun Fact: wrpj's are older then jrpg's
Flight sims. It's so realistic and complicated, why not just become a real pilot instead?DireToad
haha...I would have to go with space shoot'em ups.
Fighters - way too repetative especially if you play them alone.
Racers - Same as fighters, really repetative and boring. The exception to this is Burnout which is quite awesome :D
JRPGs - I actually really like the story driven nature of these games but the combat gets tedious and they tend to outstay thier welcome (FF games take like 40 hours).
Music/Rhythm Based games- It's basically pressing a button when it appears on the screen...that's all it is. Rarely any change in scenery throughout gameplay...I don't understand how anyone could like this genre.
Do you really feel like a dancer or musician when playing these games?
JRPG's past psone/saturn/dreamcast days.6matt6
Try Lost Odyssey, you might like it. I agree though, for the most part new JRPGs are just too dumbed down.
First person shooters. Unreal and Quake....i HATE THEM. what is the point in playing a game, if you are going to jump around all game!!!!Vectah_Sigma
thats just noobs, real men don't need to jump! :P
sports games like fifa or madden. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. then again i also have little interest in sport in general so that doesent help. i do like rugby but rugby games are rubbish accross the board.
i also dont like racing sims. games like PGR, Forza and GT bore me to tears. still first game to get a bugatti veyron into it will get my interest (i love that car). the only exception to that is colin mcrae rally games. for some strange reason, i really enjoy these. i also play it with the directional keys on a keyboard and prefer it that way (tried dirt on a 360....want the PC version) :P. im weird like that though.
beat em ups: not my thing at all. i used to like them when i was younger but ive lost interest. last beat em up i played was SC2 on GC and it didnt really get my interest.
action/slasher: boring, repatative, boring, boring, repatative, meh. only exception is God of war. its just so responsive and accurate to user input. still repatative but it somehow remains fun and a pleasure to play. but i tried the DMC4 demo and lost interest in 30 seconds. sloppy, unresponsive and a bit crap imho. must try ninja gaiden sometime mind.
so yeah, those are the typs of games i generally stay away from.
I dislike other genres to some degree, but at least I can kind of somewhat see the appeal.
MMORPG
Possess none of the qualities I'm looking for in a game. They're extremely repetitive and simplistic. What is the appeal in slowly making your character stronger by bashing enemies in the head for hours and hours, in order to be able to bash stronger enemies in the head for hours and hours. etc. rinse and repeat ad nauseam. Other games have compelling stories, deep, detailed gameplay, cool level design, immersive atmosphere etc. I don't get it. What the hell is it that makes these ****ty games so addictive? They're just **** and I hope they **** off and die.
Mine would have to be the slasher/action genre that is made up of Devil May Cry, God of War, and Ninja Gaiden. I just find myself getting bored with these types of games very quickly and find their stories to be usually retarded. What is your least liked genre?Shenmue_JehutyThe same as yours, tho it's tied with MMORPGs.

Project Gotham Racing isn't a racing sim. It's an arcade type of a racer. You don't like racing games.
