Sure didn't. What does that have to do with PS3? Are we to let nostalgia take the place of common sense? Personally, I'm glad to hear DMC4 will have rumble function. But the fact remains that the TC has a point.

Sony was mired in legal issues with the original Dualshock, so of course they were putting a positive spin on a bad situation. But what excuse do the consumers who backed this utterly stupid contention have? As best I can come up with, it was blatant and insincere damage control. So, while I'm pleased Sony's figured out how to get their rumble situation back on course, the twonks who supported that lame excuse should be ready to suffer a little ribbing over it.

Well, aren't you a saint? Though I agree with your point, it's a bit hollow. Particularly considering your habit of refering to Microsoft as M$. This seems to be inconsistent with your disdain for kneejerk reactions to consolecompany policy. I mean what's the implication exactly? Microsoft is in business for money? ... duh? Or perhaps you're refering to the fact that Microsoft charges for it's gold membership live package? I don't know exactly where you're coming from to be frank.

But let me be frank. Since Sony is so saintly and disinterested in this money that M$ is obsessed with... are they replacing the old controllers? Can the sixaxis be traded in for a replacement? No? I disagree, looking at how they made the announcement at TGS...they definately think it's a big deal. TGS is bigger than the old E3. You wanna know why cows are the most bashed? Because they ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS hype anything announced as the next coming of christ WHILE bashing everyone else. Then when whatever the hell they were hyping flops or is delayed, the cows all of sudden forget they made threads and threads on the very topic. A few examples:

Sony said: Rumble is last gen. Cows backed this up with many a thread from "it causes nerve damage" to "I never used it anyway." Now when its announced, its a big deal.

GT Not having damage: Cows SWORE that GT5 didnt need damage and that it wasnt wanted or needed. GT was then announced to have damage and as PREDICTED they went on to bash Forza 2, hype GT5 to godly levels blah blah blah.

Lair. Was HYPED since the launch of the PS3 as one of the games to MAKE YOU BUY A PS3. It flops and cows blame everyone from GS, to M$ to lazy devs. They place the blame everywhere then where it should be..... SONY. :shock:

I agree that we have a right to be a little mad with Sony. They made promices that we haven't seen become reality yet, but there are some [fanboys] who bash Sony just because they hate them, or just because hey they're doing so I guess I should to. In their keynote speach they were apologizing for some of the things that have happened, late release, home, it shows to me that they are trying to make up for the hurt that they did for their fanbase. That shows that Sony has at least somewhat learned from their mistakes, maybe not all of them but some of them.
