Left 4 Dead 2 for the PC because of Mods.
EDIT
can you find the Triforce in Dead Rising 2? I don't think so.
Dead Rising 2 for SP
Left 4 Dead 2 for MP

Can you duct tape a sledgehammer to an axe in Left 4 Dead 2?
But both are amazing games, though personally the sheer freedom, exploration, and tension of trying to find survivors and not die before you reach a save point make DR2 feel like the closet we have to a real zombie survivor game, and its especially awesome with a second player.
They're not comparable. L4D2 is an FPS and DR2 is a TPS. Depends what you want. L4D2 is pretty much a multiplayer Co-op/versus game, lots of fun I have put many hours in it. But since it is an older online game, there are many people online that may not tolerate noob gamers. DR2 is mostly a single player game.
Look at youtube, see what you like. But perhaps wait for the steam summer sale (if it ever happens *fingers crossed*) to get L4D2

L4D 1 and Dead Rising 1 are leagues better than their craptastic sequels.

That argument holds no weight anymore, as Left 4 Dead 2 has all the maps L4D 1 has now

L4D 2 still sucks, even worse story than L4D and the characters you portray in L4D 2 suck ***. Oh and they basically could have just released L4D 2 as a expansion pack.
Zoey,Bill,Francis and Louis FTW

If you played Left 4 Dead for the actual story rather than the player authored stories, than you are doing it so wrong

If you think L4D 2 is better than L4D 1 then you're so wrong. Anyways continue liking L4D 2, further proves people in SW have no taste in games, but I guess Valve can release a My Little Pony game and valve fanboys will gobble it up like the tools that they are, just like with L4D 2 when they were complaining about how they could have just put the content from L4D 2 into the first game but what happened?, they brushed off their knee pads and bought the game anyways.

So because I have a different opinion than you I'm wrong? You've provided no reasons why Left 4 Dead 1 is better. I still think No mercy is the god damn best map, but it largely went downhill after that. Left 4 Dead 2's default maps were more consistant, and the updates were much better than the original. It also has much more variety in both gameplay, levels and even the visuals. If Valve delivers a bad game, I'll be the first to criticise it. But I haven't played a single bad game from the guys. Though Day of Defeat Source is very average.

I;m not sure why he is so asshurt. The only reason he likes one over the other is because of characters....which is completely subjective. L4D had way more content and is the more complete game.Left 4 Dead get's boring fast, there are only like 5 missions and each take about an hour to beat, it's only a 5 hour game at max. It's only fun if your playing with friends, but even then it has little varitey. Dead Rising is more creative but get's reptitive too, I only played the demo however.
Also I am referring to L4D for 360, never played the PC version but I hear it has level mods so there is endless content. There is even a Luigi's Mansion mod on the PC version!
There is no Dead rising 2 demo. Unless you mean the arcade game Dead rising 2 case zero.Left 4 Dead get's boring fast, there are only like 5 missions and each take about an hour to beat, it's only a 5 hour game at max. that depends on what you like more, i played left 4 dead 2 for about 10 hours tops and got bored running through the same linear levels doing the same thing over and over again, played dead rising 2 hour 40+ hours easily just from the shear amount of things you can mess with.Dead Rising 2 for SP
Left 4 Dead 2 for MP
Overall thought L4D2 will provide you with 10x as many hours of fun, at the very least.

When you say L4D2 mp do you mean versus? Co-op campaign I might understand, but versus has so much replay value.Dead Rising 2 for SP
