I played the demo on both and I like it better on the PC. Two things though. It'll only be $35 on the 360 at best buy for black friday. Also, I have a ton of friends on xbox live and 1 on steam. I heard this game is only good with friends.

PC version is superior to 360, as usual. Get it on PC.

Yeah its best on PC but the only fun to be had with the game is the mutiplayer. Multiplayer isn't fun without friends.

Wherever your friends are is where to buy it. No point gloating about a superior version if you have no one to play with it :D

.. PC version for any of valve games have always been by a huge amount superior to the after thoughts of the consoles it seems.. That being said that really depends on if you really want to play with your friends.

If you have the PC to run it at high settings, ALWAYS get the PC version unless you are not really a PC gamer (like me) or most of your friends have the 360 version. PC version will always be superior to console versions unless you have a walmart computer :P

The answer is always PC. Why can't people get that. A $10 difference won't change that. Heck, You'll probably repay back that $10 on 360 when Microsoft charges you for DLC.

PC, because knowing Steam they're going to do a weekend sale thing just like the last one. Because seriously, this game's only worth half what it costs right now.

Really?? I mean really???? Really?

1. Either you have never played a FPS with a mouse and keyboard.

2. Your not very good at FPS games and your crippled without the Aim Assist found on console games, that are there just to compensate for it being played with a controller and not a mouse and keyboard.

People just sometimes prefer consoles. It's personal preference.

See i guess i cant wrap my head around that. Its impossible for me to understand why either. And if i try to understand why one would prefer a console over PC my head begins to hurt.

True. However, I got to know a few people through Steam, and I can play regularly with them now.

It all depends on what you want really.

PC version hands down. I bought it for PC and the graphics (especially the anti-aliasing) are way better than the 360! On the 360 just like any other console game there will never be as much AA as the PC version. The L4D2 on PC is actually a very good looking game while on 360 is just average.

The controls on PC are obviously superior. The only reason why I would get it for 360 is if you want to play split screen co-op with a friend.

note UK no EU

i did a year of schooling in germany and sweden (6 months in 1 6 months in the other) and i could positively say 80% of the gaming scene is PC gaming and in GERMANY its HUUUUUUGE i was in berlin and there was always big lan parties going on and gaming tours coming through town (all PC)

its because there not stupid in mainland europe and know how to capitalise on a machine

(basically a 360 cost more in the long run the 300usd, payment upfront is the "Gotcha" take for example this bit o' mathG=amount of games owned T=total 10G=t so basically if you own 10 games bought on release thats 100usd more than what you would of paid for normally with a pc version, not counting D2D/steam/impulse pre-order deals weekend specails ectect then the amount you pay monthly for xboxlive. now to compete with a pc owner you have to have a gold account 100% of the time so that adds up. then for each one of the games theres the DLC cost and to compete with the pc owner [who gets his free] you would have to purchase all the dlc also add in the upgrade costs of a 360 120g hd=150usd when a pc's 1tb hd=80usd WTF? also add in the fact you NEED A PC ANYWAYS that would normally cost around 400-500 usd then slap 300-400usd more and you have a powerhouse of a gaming rig that will out perform any console plus a multimedia center, work center, internet browser ect ect)

PC for me, and none of my friends even have a gaming rig.

I cant see why choosing the worse version at the off chance that my friends will want to play the same exact game as me at the same exact time as me is reason enough for me to hinder a games potential.

In short.

Ef my friends. I'll have plenty of people to play L4D2 on PC. If I want to talk to my friends I'll call them. Or catch them playing Halo 3. Again. Sigh.

This I agree with. I am the exception rather then the rule of thumb with PC gamers. I will almost always play the single player with my 360 controller if it doesnt require a dumb amount of tweaking to feel right for that game.

Online I will use the m/kb because if not I'll just get destroyed, but for a pure fun single player experience for any single player action game (fps included) I'll take a controller.

I'll grant you that. Competitive play requires a mouse and keyboard if others are using them. If you're just playing for fun, then use whatever you prefer.

I would definitely go with 360. L4D is no fun without friends...everyone just rages. If the mod scene for L4D2 is anything like L4D1 then you're not missing out on much. A couple of crappy campaigns and some cool gun skins ( which aren't needed this time around...the guns actually look good.) ^^ So yeah, I'd go with 360.

[QUOTE="Metalscarz"]

[QUOTE="lowe0"] I played my first PC FPS 15 years ago, and I prefer a gamepad. Seriously, where do you PC gamers always get this "you must not have tried it" crap from?lowe0

I made the mistake of playing GTA4 on the PC online without unplugging my 360 controller. I was kinda used to that game online on the 360 but when I saw the PC version on sale for 20 new I figured why not play through again. Decided to see how the online was and, Man. Like you said controller vs m/kb is not a disadvantage I will ever be at again. In that situation 9/10 times the controller will = owned. X2.

PC No question is better. Not a fair comparison. However. This IS a game you want to play with friends... very much so. So perhaps buy it on 360 now, and pickup a steam version when its on sale, if you want the longevity in the long run, and really like the game.

I had L4d 1 on both, and PC was better, not to mention cheaper. If you like, you can even plug in your controller into a USB port, assuming you get the required peripheral. Plus, no monthly fee to play on STEAM. Also, better graphics. So if you have a decent PC, it's really an easy decision.
