That's a possibility, but it won't win with all the competition this year, unless it really blows everyone away in every single way, which I doubt, but we'll see.

Resistance one was nothing special so people don't expect alot from it, but it seems they are on the right track to make a good game, We need to see more to make any real judgment other than pointless speculation.Jynxzor

I believe its parshly true, I didnt see anything other than some improved Third Person shooting mechanics that made the game stand out other than graphics... a chainsaw? ................. 4 vs 4 online (pretty much) with nasty lag issues and host advantage.

60 multiplayer? no thanks do you understand how frustrating even 32 players or 16 players is? its really annoying to just have a team m8 that has no mic, trust me more players doesn't equal beter.

Unless they make some huge maps that have vehicles and other crap, it will be overkill. But it's not like MP matters really. What really is that it will have two campaigns (seems like a gimmick but whatever). Let's if Resistence 2 can even come close to the awsomness of the Gears campaign.

i don't think anyone can say that having the option of 60 players online is a bad thing, just that the 60 player online itself could be. more options is always better even if the options are not liked by most people. this goes for the 8 player coop as well.

Wow!!! It didn't only score that high because of their graphics. I am sorry, but that is a ridiculous statement, reviewers often combine different categories (such as gameplay, graphics, lasting, sotry aspects, multiplayer etc.) for their reviews. The campaign, even though short was pretty fun, and the gameplay for Gears, at least in my opinion was ridiculously good. Sure some may say that it did do that much of new stuff, but whatever it did was pretty damn close to perfect, even the online was good. Yeah it has its problems but it was good enough to still be top4 on the most played Live games list...

As to the TC, we will not know until both games come out. I loved Gears and I liked Resistance, granted I only played it on my friends PS3 and never go to reap all of the benefits of the game, but I seriously thought Gears was amazing, while Resistance was simply average, maybe a little bit more at best. And if Epic learns from Halo3, I cant guarantee, but I but I can speculate on 4 player co-op being a major feature.

I loved Resistance's campaign, but I hated its online. Way, way too frantic.

Hopefully they improve it somehow to make it less chaotic. I hope they realize more players doesn't always equal a better online experience. Gears tore it apart when it came to online and it only had 4 player teams (I did like Resistance's campaign better than Gears', though. It was very Half Life meets COD meets Halo, and that's a very good thing.)

theres plenty of FPSs coming out this year that I would MUCH rather own. insomniac lacks the talant to compete with the big boys of the FPS genre...
