Lemmings - FPS and racers are what you mainly like,not RTS (regarding Halo Wars)

Come on. You know full well that FPS's and racers are the main factors in the success of Xbox 360. Seriously...how many people (other than the hardcore) do you know that like RTS's and FPS's the same? Yeah, I'm judging. But, in my experience, RTS fanboys don't like FPS's much and vice versa. There are exceptions to this (like anything), but I don't think the hardcore FPS Halo fanboy is going to like a game like Final Fantasy Tactics. Real Time strategy is just so different from FPS. They are vitual opposites of one another. Halo Wars will sell for the Halo name. But, I'm wondering if the hardcore Halo 1, 2, 3 fanboys and Forza 2 and PGR fanboysare going to like a real time strategy game. I highly doubt it...

Well they are only designing it for the 360, unlike some other RTS games, so Halo Wars will probably turn out pretty good. But sales shouldn't be a problem.TheDarkDisciple

It will still be simplfiied due to lack of interface.. I just don't think RTS's are ment on a console, inless they give you something thats equal to mouse and keyboard in functionality.. What boggles the mind is why don't they make more turn based strategy games? A console version of the game would not be needed to dumbed down, and it wouldn't be required to give you a multiplayer mode because most successful TBS's do not need it.

I like RTS games and FPS games. Just because I like one genre doesn't mean I can't like another. Hell, even though I enjoy fast paced FPS games like Unreal Tournament, I still enjoy Turn Based games.

By the way, you can't really judge whether or not lemmings like RTS games until we see how well World in Conflict and SupCom are recieved on the 360. Who knows, maybe lemmings will like them.

If RTS's were as popular with lemmings, there would be many more on 360 than what is currently on the market. There are many FPS's and racers. This is because those genres sell well. RTS selling well on 360? Not so much...

Kindom Under Fire sold OK on Xbox, but RTS has never been close to being that popular on Xbox or Xbox 360. This is where I'm getting my judgments from. And the majority is saying..."we like FPS's and racers far more than RTS's". And the people I've known that play RTS's on PCs can't stand FPS, and vice versa. So, this is where I'm coming from.

Like I said, there are always exceptions to this. But, I'm not telling you what lemmings do or don't like. The high sales of FPS and racers seem to speak for themselves...

You forgot RPG, Fighting, Sports, Platform and Action/Adventure games. Well C&C sold over 300K in the U.S. and just over 450K worldwide, so there is some market for RTS games on the XBox 360.

(only cuz my GF bought it though).

halo warshas everything goung for it,fantastic devs, the halo franchise, console exclusive developmnent, intergrated controls, superb graphics. the game will rock.

And the biggest selling games on the PS3 are: Resistance: Fall of Man (Shooter) and Motorstorm (Racer) and the cows are getting worked p over Uncharted (Gears of War Clone - Shooter/Tomb Raider Rip off) and Warhawk (Shooter)... people in glass houses and all that.

Plus the same cows are currently hyping Haze, Killzone 2 and gloating that they have a timed console exclusive on Unreal Tournament 3... I suppose these are all RPF/Puzzlers?... oh, more shooters.
