[QUOTE="Tnasty11"]These are two Good JRPG's so why aren't selling come on now Blue dragon going to DS and eternal Sonata to PS3ZIMdoom
I think it is clear that most 360 fans buy the console for the same games that were on Xbox...FPS, arcade racers, and other casual titles masked as being "hardcore". Nothing else sells all that well.
Which is the REAL reason hardcore gaming in the US is going down. Gimme LOTS of GUNS PLZ!!!

Dead Rising was very successful in the US and it's a hardcore game.
Also, shooter fans can be hardcore gamers. Oh noez, it doesn't have a boy that looks like a chick! Not Hardcore!

:lol:Pretty much a generic JRPG experience(Blue Dragon I mean) coupled with the fact that it's on the XBOX 360 and japanese don't like 360...
Those that say JRPG don't sell well in america check Final Fantasy which is a JRPG and does sell very well in the america so you can rule that out. JRPGs can sell well in the US if there not so generic and don't suck all the time like most JRPGs have being doing these days.
Lemmings better get together and start buying more japanese games, or japanese studios will shift even more support from 360.
This year's TGS had 20% less software for 360 compared with TGS06.
lordxymor
Because the Japanese studios supported the xbox hardware so much already?
yeah it's too bad JRPGs don't do well on the 360. i actually think that if square enix brought FFXIII to the 360, it would actually expand the 360's userbase to include people who do like JRPGs.
given the PS3's high price and lack of any good games, if they brought FFXIII to the 360, all the FF fans who were waiting to get a PS3 might spring for the 360 instead since they'd be able to play their favorite game on it plus a solid library of numerous other great titles.
unfortunately, i don't see that happening any time soon...
Lemmings dont care for jrpgs mainly. Thats one of the reasons why the 360 wont see a Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, or Kingdom Hearts title anytime soon.Carmilla31
Good thing you added that. I prefer RPG's over every other genre.

me to man.. RPGS are my Number one fav and shooters are my second (:
We need more 360 RPG fans!
[QUOTE="omarguy01"]that's bad because if they was on ps3 or wii right now they would have sold more Agreed.blue dragon isn't good

and eternal sonata isnt THAT good either
bring on FF (not 11) and you'll see how good that sells
Jrpgs have stop progressing since square pushed rpgs into the 3d. Square released some of the highest quality rpgs ever on ps1, Chrono Cross, Xenogear, Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy 7. Each of those brought something new to the table in many respects ranging from being the first 3d title, a rpg to that uses God as the main focus and stories that were very deep in quality. After those few games I've seen the jrpg genre just decline.
There was a push from 2d to 3d and from what kind of language that could be expressed in the games and of course the quality of the story. If they want to increase sales then they will need to do something new with the genre. I don't think the 360 is the console to put jrpgs on, neither is the ps3. Wii seems like the best choice for the genre.

Uhh your sarcasm meter is broken, I agree with ZIMdoom. I'm saying that all self-procaimed hardcore gamers ONLY want shooters, racers, sports games, and the other genres will die out if 360 fans decide which games will dominate sales.

So explain why Eternal Sonata sold twice as much as Folklore in Japan.
It's common knowledge that nothing gets Sony fanboys' panties in a buch more than Japanese games selling well on the Xbox plaform. Which is why most of them are quick to claim games like Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon aren't selling well. They did the same thing with Dead Rising and Lost Planet.
Acouple ofquick facts though.
1) Enchanted Arms sold better on 360 worldwide than it did on PS3.
2) Eternal Sonata sold twice as much as FolkSoul (Folklore) did in Japan.
And for those Sony fanboys still insisting these games would sell better on a Playstation platform:
Every game Namco has released on the PS3 so far has failed to meet even its lowest sales goals.

Folklore IS NOT a JRPGWe've had this argument before. Some people call it an action RPG
Okay then explan why Eternal Sonata sold more than Enchanted Arms in Japan.
