LOOK. We all know that lemmings like to talk about their xbox live and how it adds value to their games. Eventhough they have to pay $50 every year for it despite being p2p and not getting ANY discount on downloadble content.
So what about the xbox 360 gamers that dont have xbox LIVE? I bet that most or over 50% are not LIVE regular members. Do you really think casuals want to pay $50 every year to play a couple games online???
Now this brings me to my next point....A lot of games sacrifice on the single player to focus on the online modes. but this sucks for the majority of xbox owners. WHY? Well lets look at the games that are getting hurt by this.... First it's Halo, that game is only like 6-7hrs single player. Then there's Gears of War that game is only 5-7 hours single player. Also now theres COD4 that is rumored to be a very short game too....
So in other words the xbox 360 online is not a plus to games. because it is an ADD-ON feature online any other platforn where its standard. And because its an ADD-ON many people will not benefit from it.dobbywii
"couple"? how many xbl enabled games are there? hint: waaaaaaay more than couple...
you must be thinking of the ps3..;)
i agree tho; it's technically an "add on" feature, but what other add-on sold to 50% penetration? none.
single player, coop, multiplayer on one console or through system link
what, you think the only friends people have are online?
btw try playing games on a harder difficulty
No. That sentence was about casual gamers , you know like 95% of the video game market. They dont buy as many games. I think 2 a year avg is good estimate.i stopped reading when i saw, "a couple of games online..."
LMAO!!!!! poor delusional cows, they think every system is pathetic as theirs.
axes03
Hmm, coming from someone who has used Xbox LIVE a whopping ONE TIME, I can tell you that a 360 without LIVE is like using a Wii or PS3, only with better games.

I love how lemmings like to randomly pick on cows just because of bad sales.

*:games that could have easily got MP.
Virtua Fighter 5 (no mp)*
Heavenly sword 6hrs (no mp)
Uncharted 11 hrs (no mp) *
Lair infinite hours of torture (no mp) *
Ratchet 15hrs (no mp) *
I see why someone is mad

It's not just because of bad sales, it's also because of bad games.
There are over 10 million gamers paying almost $200/year to play WoW...
Yea, it would be nice ifXBL were free but if you honestly get upset over $4/month you are too damn poor to have paid $400 for a console.
Sony is a God for making PSN free but seriously...it's not as good as XBL yet. And if/when it is better will most likely be because of Home...which revolves around microtransactions.

The guys not even a cow. Whenever someone says something slightly bad about the 360 lemmings start exploding with cow bashing.
For example, you.
I'm starting to really dislike online gaming. I enjoy playing with particular friends on campaign modes, but obviously it's not possible to do this all the time. The rest of the time I find myself not using Live at all. It's just not fun playing with people who are A) too good or B) idiots. To be honest, I'd be happy if it was a pay as you go system. That way I wouldn't have to pay for long subscriptions just in case I want to play now and then.SolidSnake35
Thats the point of the ranking system. If you're good you go to a higher rank and if you suck you don't. After a while it should balance out and should play with people more or less at your level.

360 none live line up is still arguably better than any otherconsoles line up. You got Forza 2, and Bioshockwhich are AAA console exclusives,PGR4 and PGR5, Oblivion, the Orange Box is a FPS that is still awesome with out live, and Mass Effect and Assassins Creed coming in NOV. Then you have another AAA title not on the PS3 or Wii with Puzzle Quest, then Guitar Hero, Burnout, Dead or Alive, Command and Conquer, and also Kameo Elemtns of Power, Dead Rising and the list just goes on.
plus you add the shooters which do carry value to a lotfor none online players. you still have campaign and local multiplayer. if you link to xbox 360s then you can still play up to 4-4 locally.
even with out live 360s library is far beyond any other next gen console. you add live and it really isnt even funny.

XBL does have pay-as-u-go. However, like any similar deal...you pay more than if you just paid the $50.

everything i listed before most were over 8.7 or up besides dead rising 8.4 and PGR5 got a 8.5
here are some more 8.5 none multiplayer live games. Eternal Sonata, The Darkness, Castlevenia, Alien Homid HD, Splinter Cell double agent and so many more great AAs. Sport games etc.
god cows find anyway to hate on 360 owners. you messed up sell your ps3 and geta 360.

Yeah, but I suck against even the worst of players, regardless of if I'm actually good at the single player modes. This annoys me greatly as well... My first race in Forza 2: Rammed off the track at the first corner. My first race on PGR4: Smacked into a wall at the first corner. Plus, the time it takes to find a match is usually off putting as well, so I don't feel much like getting good at any game either.[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"]I'm starting to really dislike online gaming. If you can't set it up on credit, they sell 1-month cards at the same places they sell 1-year cards. I think they're $6.99 US.

One of the most important things about Xbox Live is that Microsoft requires every game to have some type of online capabilities.

There's a 3 month one for £13 ($26). I haven't seen a lower one than that here in the UK.Plenty are online, but not many are worth buying. Other than you fanatics most people only buy a couple games a year.i stopped reading when i saw, "a couple of games online..."
