And then there is the kindergarten-level logic that NO console can have its visual output maxed within ONE YEAR of its release.

360 has been out for 2 years now and nothing that is on a whole new level than gears.Sorry but mass effect looks lightly better and that's it.Infact gears has better textures.

First and most importantly for me is how a game plays. Graphics are way overblown in SW, with people arguing over a shadow. Most next gen games look great and will continue to improve. For me I don't need ME to look better or as good as Gears to enjoy it.blue_hazy_basic

I think there's plenty of room to push and experiment when it comes to physics and AI and real-time lighting. I think we've only scratched the surface of what we can do with gameplay as well as the 360. There's far more potential down the road to do more stuff. As amazing as I think Gears is, and my gut tells me I still love playing it, I think we have a really incredible experience; I think we'll definitely push it further if we get around to dong a new version in the future.

I think Bioshock looked better than gears. In art style anyway. And art style is a important aspect of the overall graphics.

The reason is because Epic Games are one of the top developers out there when it comes to technically impressive 3D game engines, and if you know anything about PC, you'll know that it's rare for a developer to outdo them even a year after the fact (Crytek has most certainly done it, but that's a rarity).OremLK

yeah too bad no other game on ANY platform has matched gears untill mass effect and uncharted.... doesn't really say much for either system.
