Lemmings...Will you buy PS3 if Sony....

If it was $399?

Well I'd definately consider it more than I did when choosing between the consoles. But right now I've already spend £300 on a 360, so I won't be buying another games console for a long time.

That's where the compaints started, of course. Sony alienated a great deal of people with their high price point, I wanted a PS3 more than a 360 when it was first announced, the PS1 and PS2 were brilliant systems!

But with all the exclusives lost, the high price points, the regurgitating of old franchises, the lying about the release date in my region and the inclusion of a media player I didn't need it totally put me off getting the system, and looking at the position of the two systems now I'm extremely glad I bought a 360, because the lineup is awesome.

Right at this moment, I wouldn't trade the 360 for a PS3, and with the games to come, it will be a few years before I even consider it.

Kinda funny. You complain about the exclusives lost, but then complain about regurgitating of old franchises. The irony. You may not get one now, but like I said within the next 4 years 95% of the people on this forum will have one. I say this because we're gamers. Like the PS1 and he PS2 PS3 will satisfy every gamer needs.

It's not the price alone. It's what you get for it. Most of us are here to play games and to be honest, in my opinion, PS3 is just so very expensive because it offers more stuff on the side then actual games.FearlessSpirit

I ask you this question. How many great games did you expect for the PS3 to have within 5 months? Also, do you think Sony has 100% control of when the game can be realease?

Reason why I won't purchase a PS3 is because they is nothing that is much different from a 360 which I already own.  The only thing on a PS3 that is different is the BluRay player.  And I never would watch movies on my gaming console and put unnessisary wear and tear on a gaming console, that is what stand alone players are for.

Plus BluRay on the PS3 is already dated and 2nd rate, no Java applet support.

At least the Wii shows some difference, but I don't own any crappy SD TV's anymore, so no use for a grossly underpowered, overpriced console.

PC/360 for me.

ive had a ps3.it was faulty so i took it back.but i will get another in the future when sony sort out there problems!daveg1

    Sometimes the levels revert back to Level 1 in some threads. Its happened to me, and usually does not last long.

My point is all of you "cows" like to quote all of these future tellings and these proclamations made by your precious Sony reps, in yet they have done it in the past and they have never come through. So with the running track record of Sony and their "promises" how can you seriously sit there and truely believe that the future is bright when your killer apps continue to show up as nothing but mediocre?moohan

I will buy the PS3 for 400 if some good games come out for it.  I'm talking AAA games that are must haves.  I have a PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PSP, DS, Wii, PS2, PS1, N64, and etc.  Just because I don't want to buy a system for $600 or $400 that doesn't have a library of good games doesn't make me a fanboy.

It's not just price that's keeping people away right now.  It's a lack of compelling content.  Sure there are some good games in there, but if you already have a 360, you've already played them.

The main thing keeping me from owning one is the price, so yes I would buy one if ot were cheaper and not just a 360 with an expensive movie player shoved into it.
