that's what SW uses for scores. by that definition, Mass Effect indeed flopped. also by that definition, PS3 currently has no AAAE yet.

Majority of PS3 games still get AA-AAA on other sites not just GS.

The majority of PS3 games still get AAA on other sites? Really?

I'm a little confused here...since according to Metacritic only CoD4, Rock Band, and Oblivion averaged a score in 90s.

If you own a 360 you can play those three titles...plus 8 additional (according to Metacritic) AAA games.

It is becoming clearer and clearer that if you purchased a PS3, and you are a hardcore gamer, you made the wrong choice.

mass effect wasn't a flop, i'm sorry but if you call mass effect a flop you clearly have never played it. 8.5 is just a number out of 10 that some guy has given as a measurement of his opinion on the game as a whole. If you gather a load of these guys opinions together it makes even less sense (i'm talkin bout GR) these reviewers are there to buy your time for advetising figures. they will put up whatever seems most helpful and pump their own opinion in their also for good measure. In the rare event that this is the case (maybe for gamespot who knows?) you should not measure games with A's and use that as a be-all-and-end-all for killer games for a system. MGS got a 8.5 from GS, and a helluva lot of people here think its the best game of all time.

It flopped. And statements likes this just make it look like all the Xbox fans whined when it flopped by going to Gamerankings, etc. Way to give the cows more ammunition.

But, when GS gave an 8.5 to Mass Effect, lemmings went on a rampage, making threads like, "Mass Effect is AAA!!", and saying that GS was not credible anymore. Yet, Lems are making threads about how the PS3 has no AAA e in its first year. Now that's what I call hypocritical. biggamerhk

yea it is, but thank god it only happened once. cows do it everytime an exclusive bottoms out. that's why cows are more annoying because of it. it never fails...Gamespot gives a review not up to par for them then comes pages and pages of posts about the conspiracy.

but the thing with gamespot is...they're usually right near the average in the end. they never really just were way off in the end. go to gamerankings and you'll see that were right on the borderline with their reviews. nothing blatantly bias at all. there's just a tough reviewing site. you can't use this site to pump ur ego from getting a good review ur bias over.

the game didn't flop. 8.5 is still a very good score. so it didn't even flop if u just go by this site alone. didn'y get the 9.0 or 9.5...but still a very good site.

n please don't with the "but lemmings hyped it to be *?*?" because all thats BS anyway. the game was hyped to be good....and in the end it turned out to be a AAA game that was satisfying in a lot of ways. the end result is the Ps3 still has nothing but extended demos on its system and we have yet another AAA title.

Well... let's play with statistics. Mass Effect is one game, many lemmings claim was unfairly scored. So that's... one. Versus... THE ENTIRE PS3 LIBRARY!

Are you saying EVERY SINGLE PS3 game was unfairly scored? You suggest that Lemmings claiming one game is not scored fairly is comparable to the claim of Cows that there's a MASSIVE conspiracy to keep them down? But the Lemmings are being irrational?

I'd like to say Cows need to stop these posts, but I think more importantly, YOU need to stop this.

If you have so little faith in the MANY reviewers who work for Gamespot, and no faith in their scoring of PS3 across the board, then why are you even here?
