Gamespot has always been in league with M$, I have been saying that for years, i don't need an app to tell me that..lol All the proof you need is on this site already!

Just look at the top of the site in the navigation bar. XBOX is first on the list (which used to be pc back when it was owned by different owners btw...) And guess which console gets more video reviews... Almost all gamespot multiplat video reviews are done on the xbox. I won't even go into the reviews, because we all know games like halo get a free pass all the time ODST anyone.

Personally, this site has been trash since after Kasavin left. The only good reviewer here is Van Ord, and if It wasn't for the forum here i woundn't even go here. Hell they already ruined the game forums and blogs comments... uggh... after they seperated from gamefaqs (which is a better site imo...)

If i want visit Gamespot i do it through my PC/web-browser. I don't own 360 anymore but have MS added a web-browser yet? isn't it easier with that so you can go to any site you want?

You know Ps3 have web-browser so you can go anywhere you want on Internet, even maybe E3 streaming ;)

gamespot had prescense on inside xbox which is being phased out....just seems like the next step for them to still have presence, free app that provides videos and content.

Seems like a solid plan for reaching a wider audience to be honest, dont see a problem with it.

Dunno why some people are trying to make this out to be a completely bad thing as the framework for bout every video app is near enough the same with a diffrent badge.

As someone with a bigger brain than you I can say that, without having played infamous 2, Risen 2 is better.

GS has a preference for Xbox that much is evident. Why is that? just speculation but M$ probably "invests" much more on it than the other gaming companies.kuraimen

there is no bias, sonys got a browser thus content has always been accesible, this just brings gamespot to new formats really, theres no bias either they have mobile apps aswell.

But mind you deluded cows do tend to think everyone biased purely on the basis of not licking sony's boot.

Anyway it's a nice feature I suppose, but I don't know if I personally would use it much, but it does make the XBL communiy feel more gamer focused. Something it needs to do more of, as there are a lot of useless apps on XBL that have nothing to do with games at all.

IGN also have their own app on XBL, which is GS biggest competitor, so it's obvious they are trying to compete with them. IGN is huge, biggest game site out there. GS needs to step it up if they want to do what they do.

Now I'm not saying GS is biased, but you would be very naive if you didn't believe game journalism is biased. It's a form of media, the news is biased, move reviews are biased, I can bet you that game reviews are also biased to one degree or another.

Much of game review bias comes from ad pressure, it heavily influences reviews. There was a magazine called EGM (it's back now I think) but it went off the market for a while after their AC1 review, they gave it a 6 or a 7 and Ubisoft basically got their magazine killed by canceling all AC and other Ubisoft game ads.

So there is bias in game journalism. To what degree is debatable as it varies from publication to publication. I don't think GS is ani-PS3 or anything like that though.
