Why do I wonder whether this guy actually owns a PS3? The things 360 fanboys will do.

i didn't like the first uncharted that much but uncharted 2 is really an amazing accomplishment, this game was over hyped but at least it did delivers the goods. anyways i'm really happy i played that game, almost didn't give it a try because of the first one
Im not reading this nonsense Oh yeah TC if this game is so bad why did you rate it a 9.0(click his proflie to see)? Close this stupid thread.
I honestly thought that Flynn was well done. Yeah, Chloe's repeated betrayals sucked, and Jeff was pointless. However, the fact that they were minimal in overall scope didn't blemish my thoughts on the characters. It did need more Sully though.
Stupid AI? Maybe it was just me, but the AI really got to me for being to smart at some points. For example, on the train I would go into a cart and begin a fight. However, an armored shotgun enemy would climb over the top of the cart, come down around me, and kill me right there. Honestly, if they can make AI that can react that well to the environment, I'm happy.
I didn't have much trouble with the variety of enemies because the variety of situations and environments distracted me from it. From a purely aesthetic viewpoint though, that does seem a little lazy. Oh, and there were technically two types of yetis:P.
I liked the platforming. I'm not going to argue this one because its pretty much just left up to opinion. You got yours and I can understand why you didn't like it.
I didn't have a problem with the camera during the runaway scenes. Maybe because I didn't touch the camera stick on those parts and just let the "cameraman" show me what he wanted to show me. It worked out brilliantly in the end.
I don't completely disagree with your list and I don't really agree with it. Nah, your not a lemming for having criticisms. If anything your just someone with a taste that wasn't satisfied or just someone who can really appreciate things more than I can. I can't tell, but I hope you did enjoy the game.

If you're being serious, I didn't copy and paste this post from anywhere.TC, where did you copy and paste that? which forum?

you are absolutely right about Fylnn. He betrays you. catches you MULTIPLE TIMES and doesn't try to kill you (of course until the train sequence). ND should have flesh out his character much more. overall though it was a brilliant game. the 9.5 given is deserved. HULKMANIA_001Even in the train level, he shoots low and then misses at about 10 yards (if that). Come on, this guy's a professional merc? :P
Nah, I enjoyed the game. You have a point about enemies climbing up walls and around the train, that was cool, but aside from that they felt a bit daft. And yes, nearly all of my post was subjective, I just disliked some parts of the game other people are fine with.I honestly thought that Flynn was well done. Uncharted 2 is another case of a good game being blown out of proportion to be the savior of modern console gaming. It's happened plenty before, and it will happen plenty again. Soon the honeymoon will be over and people will realize it's not the best thing ever created, and life will move on. Probably to Modern Warfare 2, blech.
Am I really suppose to care about jeff the cameraman, we all knew he was going to die. It's a game not a soap opera, flynn was a jerk from the start, it was hardly a betrayal.
The stealth stuff is basic compared to metal gear, it's fun though I'm glad they added it. These are hardly major game flaws, The only thing that irks me is the gatling gun animations.
it was better than the first one by far.

Yes, and I watched my friend play it for a few hours too. It's good, but my god it is not the messiah of gaming. I'm not really into the tomb raider sort of thing though, so maybe that's why.

No game is the messiah of gaming. People dont talk about the masterpieces of the past these days. Every good game will have its time in the spotlight and we will move on in upcoming years. No one is gonna stay attached to a certain game for so many years.
Uncharted 2 has some flaws, but it just does'nt compare to all the things the game does right. I get older and older and there is less games for me that makes me want to play through the campaign more than once or even at all. Uncharted 2 is one of those games that I want more of, I'm now playing it through the second time and loving it:). Just like MGS4, GTA4 and Fallout 3.

Sorry buddy but i have just finished Uncharted 2 and totally agree with Manga. Good game though and it was fun with the whole finding Shambala thing, you really did feel like you were on the tip of something big.For a video game, those characters were superb. What, did you think Killzone 2 had da best CHARACTERS EVER? No, it had no Characters, nothing that could equate to them anyway. And I don't think your analysis on the characters is very well done at all, there was more development in this game on Chloe than there was on Elena or Sully, especially Sully. And Chloe was a great character.
It's a video-game, they don't have time to focus on the death of a character like Jeff, when have you ever seen a video game, besides something like MGS, or an RPG, ever do that? Never, I'm sure. They did the best they could with the medium they had, which was an excellent job. You are judging the standards of this GAME, by the standards of a film. Not a good idea at all.
The AI is better than most games, plain and simple, and they made it stupid on purpose for the stealth portions clearly. And I don't see your point on the hand-to-hand vs. shooting portion, never had issues there. And the variety thing, you realize that is one of the most common nitpicks reviewers have, and it never ever affects the score, use common sense in that regard.
Yes, the platforming could be tricky, but if you played the first game, this was EASY. They make the stuff you are supposed to climb stand out, and focus the camera on what you need to do. It is extremely easy, and there is more hints than you can shake a stick at. It's your fault buddy, not there's on that one.
And the camera, was perfect for me, stop trying to adjust it, if you do that, it gets out of whack, that's the only issue I noticed. Only adjust it when you are in a free situation. All of your complaints are either nitpicks, are invalid and only applicable to you...
You think this is a review?A good reviewer would realize that there's also a co-op and competitive mode in this game. ;) Much of the story helps you get ready for these modes.

Bahaha. I'd give it AAA as well, and this is hardly a review. Nice argument though.By your "review" and your opinion i see a 7.5 the best for this game...
Well let me prefer the 9.0-9.5 from all over the internet and best sites worldwide... Cheers

I'm not comparing the story to other mediums at all, you shouldn't make such assumptions. I'm calling it how I see it, on its own merits. The lackluster villains hardly seem a nitpick to me, but whatever. I also put in there 'my personal disappointments,' hinting that they might only apply to a minority I am in, but I guess I should have made that clearer :|For a video game, those characters were superb.
