too expensive.

PS3 cost $600 on 2006.

can a 2006 PC run mutiplat games until 2011? most likely not.

a 2006 PS3 can run Uncharted 3 on 2011, or a NBA 2K11. a 2006 PC can't. just saying. you'd have to spend a ton of money in 006 to play games for the next 4 years.

tell me, in those 4 years how many iterations of Nvidia graphics cards did we get? not only that, but minimum PC game requirements get higher almost every year.

NBA 2K11 needs 128mb graphics card and a 3.0ghz single core processor, I think that a 2006 PC can run that.

but will it run on 720p with a stable framerate? no, it won't. much like other multiplat. yes, PC can run it, but not on 720p, not on 30+ fps. that's why you need to upgrade. how many times have you upgraded your PC ever since 2006? it's 2011 now. i never upgraded my PS3 and yet it can still play mutiplats, and upscale them to 1080p.

I have never upgraded my PC, since I'm not really a PC gamer. Also I'm pretty sure the recommended specs (which will probably run it on par or better than the consoles) were available in 2006.

Your using a really bad example of a game there bro... 30 fps is pretty easiy at 1280x720 on a good pentium 4 and something like a 9600 gso (8800gso) on said game.. You would have done better arguing another multiplat as my backup PC has nba 2k11 with said hardware and runs it pretty easily at that resolution.

Consoles are easyer and cheaper and for comfort that is subjective .

Comfort isn't subjective at all, you can do whatever you want with a PC, including the use of any controller you want. There's no logical way to say a PS3 or 360 is more comfortable to use than a PC, you can play a PC game on the couch with a PS3 controller if you want.

On the same note, there's no logical way to say a PC is more comfortable than a console.

reasons why I prefer consoles:

i like trading and renting games.

i like gaming on my sofa.

turn on the system, pop the disc in and game on.

i've been a console gamer since the NES.

most of my friends game on consoles.

splitscreen with friends.

not a huge fan of pc exclusives, i gives no ****s about strategy games and MMOs, never have.

...but i'm not a deluded console fanboy though, i respect pc gaming's influence and accomplishments over the past years. it's just not my thing.

it's because of the games, actually, I'm a Mario fan, where else should I play those games on? it's just an example and NO, don't even mention emulation.

Maybe someone doesn't feel comfortable installing a graphics card. I'm just sayin'...

Then you let someone more skilled do it? similar to how your console/s were put together?

I love PC gaming but i can see why average people dont really like it for example u need to be a bit PC savvy to have fun with the PC unlike say 360 where u buy one and u can play every game that comes in a green cd case.murat8
exactly. a lot of people just aren't computer savvy. i was talking to one of my XBL buddies and i had to explain to him how to install an antivirus and google chrome on his PC so he doesn't get anymore viruses -.-

PC's are just too expensive and too complicated for an average joe to use comfortably. just face it dude.
