Lets be honest.......PS5's announced roadmap does not come anywhere close to XBOX's

That roadmap is looking a little far out... Sony is winning with the "launch" lineup.

Like 3 out of those five games have a chance to be good. One might be an MMO and another is on some episodic bullshit. Anyway, have fun waiting.

Avowed, Fable, and Perfect Dark have only released CG/cinematic trailers.

I can't even find anything solid for Starfield outside of leaks and we haven't seen anything from Elder Scrolls since 2018's confirmation.

How do those games look AAA but others don't?

In any case, I'd like to see more from these games before I have an opinion. I am looking forward to all three games Pedro listed plus Horizon and GoW if they release this year. I'm 100% confident though that Horizon will get released, considering it's a cross gen game.

Do you have any credible source to back up these claims? Or do you like entertaining unsubstantiated fud rumors that confirm your biases, but also probably get very annoyed at the massive amount of positive Xbox rumors (particularly acquisition rumors), that more often than not, all end up having smoke, or a far better track record than the rumors on the other side?

Most likely not. I've been following both and trying to get both and from the amount of drops, it seems like Sony is making a lot more PS5s than Microsoft is making Series S/Xs.

How? I don't know. But getting a PS5 has been much easier than getting a Series X. At least in the U.S.

I'm interested in Kena, tried Ratchet in the past and meh. Returnal would've been the perfect launch title that'd sell because there's not much else, it still might to be honest, but I'm not seeing much in that trailer.

@StrongDeadlift: I think that you are underestimating the next Horizon and GoW. They will make a bigger splash than most xbox games. However I absolutely agree with sealionact that the design of the PS5 is a disaster. I had rather have a 20 USD sandwich toaster from Walmart displayed in my living room than the PS5. I still haven't made up my mind which next-gen console I will buy first, but the design of the PS5 in itself might be enough to make me choose the Xsex.

I think both consoles will have great games.

But I think cows will underestimate Xbox this gen.

Why are we expecting anything from the new Perfect Dark? PDZ was awful.

Who is developing Fable? Hopefully MS uses a Bethesda studio.

It's impossible to say what'll release from PlayStation over the next three years but, Horizon, GOW, and Gran Turismo are all releasing within the next 12-18 months. That being said, studios like Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Guerrilla and Santa Monica are very much capable of working on multiple projects.

Ex. Guerrilla Games has at least two game directors: Mathijs de Jonge (Horizon) and, Simon Larouche (TBA).

There's also rumors that Cory Balrog isn't actually working on GOW Ragnarok but, a new IP. That's certainly possible considering Santa Monica started working on two games once Cory joined (the other was later cancelled).

Besides meme funny moments, Elder Scrolls hasn't been good since Oblivion. The others on that list, I have no interest in or haven't even heard of.
PS5 will be more than fine. MS will continue to "compete" by taking games away from other platforms.

Looking at both, neither really has anything releasing that's worthwhile for years.. A few years really. PS has God of War Ragnarok and Final Fantasy 16, years away.. MS has Elder scrolls and Starfield, years away. None of them have shown anything, from gameplay to features. Nothing. Maybe in a few years this console generation may present something to get excited about, until then, both look pretty underwhelming and sad.

I'm more interested in GOW, Horizon and R&C. All will probably be 90+ on metacritic and all slated to release within the next 9 months. Whether they do or not, idk but I'm not gonna claim to know either. Elder scrolls was horrible on PS4. I like those type games but that one was awful. So not interested in the new one much. We still don't know if some of those games will be exclusive or not yet either. Glad you're excited that some multiplat games will now possibly only be playable on xbox/pc I guess. I'll stick with the developers I know have a good track record for now, as far as exclusives go.

@StrongDeadlift: The series has score on average an 88 on metacritic. This new one will make use of the PS5s features such as SSD drive and the dual sense. I think it'll score a 90.

Years past Forza Horizon 3 & 4 were some of the the highest scoring titles the year they came out, but were not nominated either.

Tbh, the offerings on both platforms look pretty bad.

Fable was cool, you know, the first and maybe the second one, but the game regurgitates the same plot progression scheme every single release that it gets boring. A new one is just going to be the same scenery, the same locations, and the same plot as all the rest. Elder Scrolls has interested me less and less every generation since Morrowind. And let's not even pretend Rare isn't going to **** up the Perfect Dark release like they've fucked up every single game they've attempted to make since Xbox bought them out and relegated the studio to creating Xbox avatars. I'll consider it a sequel to Perfect Dark Zero, not the OG that people actually enjoyed.

So looking at Xbox lineup, I can only give as little of a damn as I would Playstation's. Both companies quit trying years ago.

Rare is not developing the Perfect Dark reboot.

Personally , the only game listed I can rule out for PlayStation is Gran Turismo 7 (not my cup of tea) , .

While with Microsoft , I can rule out Gears Tactics port , Microsoft Flight Simulator port , Grounded , and likely any Elder Scrolls/Fallout games or potential ripoffs/clones of those kinds of games. Avowed might fall into that category. I don't know much about Starfield of Fable yet. I never even tried a Fable game before.

It's going to take some time to see how this all pans out.

But for now , PlayStation has things to play now , 2 exclusives coming in spring which includes the incredible looking Ratchet & Clank game , and Sony has franchises/IP's that I like set up for sequels - Horizon , God of War , Spider-Man , Ghost of Tsushima. I even like Days Gone , so I'd be down for a sequel !

Microsoft has a long way to go. They haven't even started yet and they've been dragging their feet for years , unfortunately. Let's see how yet another hyped up 343 Halo does this time around , and what and when the next key title is after Halo that isn't a generic racing game and see how that does. Maybe they can turn things around. Only time will tell. More waiting. .
