We need to stop making it an argument that 360 games that go to pc. The reason that many go like ur halo, halo 2, maybe gears and what not is simple. ITS freaking MICROSOFT, they are a computer software giant. of course there going to take there console exclusives and move them to the pc. it allows them to go to a even bigger market and make even more money.xbox360isgr8tTotally correct. gnutux
Microsoft doesnt make Halo they cant tell them to send it to the PC...depends on the popularity of the game. MS doesnt make halo but ms gaming studios is involved just look at the link http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/halo2/index.html
And going by your logic why didnt Rise of Nations,AOM, and AOE show up on consolespoopinloop32

depending on the situation they might have http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/halo2/index.html. microsoft gaming studios is invovled. they make a profit. considering microsoft pretty much owns and controls more or less companies like bungie (not sure about rare, others) they call the shots. i doubt bungie would have brought halo 2 to the pc but ms probably said so; and ms gaming studios is involved so again its more money to bigger market.xbox360isgr8tJust as you said, they might have published it. Microsoft does publish games, but they get no royalties for games published on the WIndows platform. There are MANY games on the PC for which MS gets no money at all. It's an open platform and that's the best kind of platform to have. I don't understand why you WANT Windows to be a closed platform. It doesn't make any sense to me.
Microsoft doesnt make Halo they cant tell them to send it to the PC...Microsoft does make Halo.

[QUOTE="pins_basic"][QUOTE="poopinloop32"]Microsoft doesnt make Halo they cant tell them to send it to the PC...Microsoft does make Halo. no, they only publish it.No, they make it. Bungie belongs to Microsoft which makes them Microsoft and by owning Bungie, they could tell them to port Halo.

so now console wars are flat out about which company generates the most moneyin a sense they are. why would these companies make consoles. its all about money sure they can make the selling point of we care about the customer and offer this and that. there are three things in this world that many people go by Sex, Money, and Power.
i could have sworn this had to do with consoles and games..

so are u saying no money at all is behind having the liscensing for the logo of something like bungie or microsoft on a video game box. im pretty sure there trade marked. that is what liscensing i was talking about.[QUOTE="voxware00"]so now console wars are flat out about which company generates the most moneyin a sense they are. why would these companies make consoles. its all about money sure they can make the selling point of we care about the customer and offer this and that. there are three things in this world that many people go by Sex, Money, and Power. I find that remark odd for someone with your sig considering Christianity teaches that those things are poor measure of success. I just found it odd. Anyway, there is no licensing involved in the Windows platform. If i wrote a game for Windows I could freely publish it myself, charging users who play it or not, and I wouldn't owe anyone a dime. In fact, many people do this and release various programs for small fees or even for nothing (these programs are called "freeware" and they can be free because MS charges nothing for allowing programs to run on Windows).

No, unless the game is made by MS itself, MS does not profit from the sale. they do not get royalties like they do with console game sales.cobrax25
wrong. mocrosoft makes money for every xbox and pc game sold
