This game is going to flop. Now, I am well aware of what a "flop" means, but seriously guys, the hype needs to be toned down. This game is not getting any higher than an 8.5.

The game literally does NOTHING new, nothing that we havent seen before either in BC2 or in other games (and in alot of ways it is inferior to BC2). Is there anybody here who actually thinks BF3 is going to be GOTY quality? Im not trolling, I am being serious. I do not see this game scoring anyting highert than 8.5 on consoles, and to be honest, I woudnt be supurised to see the same scenario as Medal of Honor (7.5).

Does anybody else see a flop incomming?

Yeah he is even though all reports say that the bugs are gone and the conquest maps are still very open and awesome.

Game will be great regardless. As long as MW3 doesn't score higher I'll be content.

I don't think it will be GOTY. It's just a shooter, a damn good one though, but really it doesn't seem like a big improvement for the genre like something like Skyrim.

Console versions could get 8 or 8.5, but I'm quite certain that PC version will get at least 9. I got that feeling from Beta.

PC version has a guarenteed 9-9.5. Not sure about the consoles but they won't score the same.

The bugs aren't gone from the conquest map. Some of them are, to be sure, but not all. The controls still lock up, which is absolutely horrible for an online MP game. The netcode still needs a lot of work. The map geometry is also not anywhere near perfect. A handful of maps isn't excusable, especially when the maps you get aren't even polished.

For some reason I doubt it'll flop. Would be entertaining if it did though. MW3 would be also be pretty fun, though to a lesser extent since everyone on this board pretty much hates CoD already.

It is pushing the 360 hardware and the PS3 hardware, in addition pushing PC hardware forward.

I'll admit that it doesn't introduce nothing new, but I really don't care if it does. Battlefield has been amazing each game.This one is just with the scope of Battlefield 2 with some improved tech from Bad Company 2. Is that enough for me? Yes!

Multi-player is amazing thus far from Caspian Border experience. Operation Metro is fun as well. Single-player is highly improved over previous Battlefield games and I'm not sure about the coop.

If it is not broken, don't try to fix it. None of the Battlefield games are bad or even meh at all. The worse game, IMO, was prob. Bad Company 1, but that was still a good game. Moderate changes and improvements are better then radical changes that will make current fans mad.

Yep, played the beta a couple days ago. This game is a TURRIBLE buggy mess. EA would have to be really arrogant to release a garbage game like this with so many problems. And Call of Duty is still more fun.

i expect at least a 9 on PC/PS3/360. The gameplay is better than any other FPS out there imo.

I agree. If they don't clean up the graphics after the beta on consoles then it may be a tad bit difficult compared to the PC version. I know PC elitists like to harp on about graphics for these multiplatform games but in this case its wayyyyyyyy better looking on PC. Seeing another player aim at you with the laser or the flashlight is awesome but on 360 & PS3 it looks like garbage.

NO its not going to be a flop. Its not going to be GOTY material as pure shooters are never GOTY material

Its score is meaningless. Games are judged & reviewed based on their single player. The multiplayer will be the best MP experience since BC2 but even better. The final score does not represent the MP & lets be honest . . . . BF is a MP game.

You could have the best MP design out there but attach it to amediocre single player & you can be surethe scores will be horrendous. The only reason cod gets good score every year is always because of the campaign.

If your paying attention to the score for BF, your attention is in the wrong place.

I was just playing a few games and I am absolutely blown away by the sheer scale of this map. I simply cannot imagine this map even being on consoles. The are going to have to make it about 1/3 of its current size. I absolutely suck with online FPS on PC and I am 98% sure that I will get BF3 for PC as it will be the definitive version and it will force me to get better with the M/KB!

I've played the beta on console and PC and even had the Alpha for PC. My guess is 9-9.5 on PC, and 8.5 on 360/PS3. They both may have the same name but the game feels almost completely different on PC compared to Console.

I predict around 9.0 on PC, and likely 8.5 on console, which basicly makes it live up to the hype, yes?

Ive had alot of fun with the beta, if the bugs are gone as they claimm, then there is very little this game could improve on. Heck I play the beta on fairly low settings due to my old system, but that this old heap of junk can still pull an average of 32 fps with the graphics I see? Then this is likely the best looking game Ive ever seen.

Now here is the strange part, I tryied the Beta on PS3 aswell, and I was somewhat underwhelmed, there is just something off which I can not explain. and it really aint very pretty.

Ofcourse in both cases I have not seen the game like it will end up looking when its done (and my new PC comes through the frontdoor).

If cod can get a 9 BF3 should be able to.
