What do you think would happen if this were true. Mistwalkers Traditional Gameplay with Level 5 Real time Gameplay.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
But Level 5 is pretty much the only developer in the world who actually knows how to create a 3D Traditional JRPG.
Mistwalker is crap.

is this why lost odyssey story and characters are better than rogue galaxys. rogue galaxy was a repetative dungeon crawler.

Yeah I play video games to play them.
i guess you agreed with me on the repatative dungeons.
Funny you bring up Rogue Galaxy...what about the DARK CLOUD series? No comparison there. I havent played Lost odyssey but rogue galaxy was an amazing game and is prob better from the reviews. I wouldnt take your word anyways since your a diehard lost odyssey fan...

Too different schools of gameplay design, I wouldn't like it. Too many compromises for both companies. Besides, Level 5 owns Mystwalker so far, so they wouldn't need to do it unless it was somehow worth it for them.

Perhaps you shouldn't be playing RPGs then...
They don't usually have the most enthralling gameplay.
And what rpgs do you play? :|
The ones I play have excellent gameplay.
i guess you agreed with me on the repatative dungeons.

Umm you do realize that a game is often repetitive due to it solely focusing on one thing and doing it very well.
Hell look at Metal Gear Solid, Zelda, Street Fighter, Radiant Silvergun, Grandia, Shin Megami Tensei, the best games are usually reptitive because the game is so good that it never gets boring.
Them teaming up would be bad.
Level 5 have a way different style to creating RPGs. Thier battle systems are fun to me and I think their stories are alright. Thier projects are overall good to me.
Mistwalker is the one that needs to improve alittle. L.O just wasn't enough, I guess I expected a little more from them.
well its something that i want to see. maybe they can do something good, who knows. also i dont understand why some persons bash mistwalker... when sakagushi was on square everyone was "loving" him, now that hes at hes own company and developing games for microsoft everyone bash him, pretty weird hmm.the-obiwan
its not him ... its the games he is making now.
I dont think he understands that jrpg's have evolved ever since FF1 and 2.

turn based are the real rpg games most of the hardcore rpg gamers like it, but im not saying that the new style its bad. anyways at the end everyone has theyr own opinions.
In the states LO was received pretty well and BD was all over the place. MS is trying to crack Japan with mistwalker were both of these rpgs were reviewed and received very well with the limited install base. Traditional jrpgs seem to have a huge following in japan and people seem to forget these games are catering to Japan first, not us.
Just look at the U.S LO packaging compared to Japan.
As fas as Level 5 Working with Mistwalker, you never know. You would think that MS and SqaurEnix would never work together on an exclusive x360 game, but they are(Infinite Undiscovery).
