That's bad.
Lems are not the only one who are suffering. Cows have lost LightBox Interactive who is behind Warhawk and Starhawk, that's a big loss since they are talented devs. Now they're developing crappy mobile games that nobody in SW will care about. Cows are also suffering too.
"Lionhead are turning into an entertainment company".
Well I'd hope so given that video games are all about entertainment.
This is just more cow butthurt over Fable on rails kinect scoring higher than Infamous 2 and the same score as UC1 and GT5.Didn't most people hate Peter Molyneaux anyways?

Lems don't buy their high scoring exclusives, so MS studios suffer ... Shame :(

Lightbox Interactive says Hi
"'Entertainment as a Service' basically means that they would release a game with a promise for frequent updates to keep it relevant and fresh, probably hosted in an on demand fashion on 'the Cloud'. Basically like how there are 'Software as a Service' (SaaS) platforms who release software that are kept up to date with frequent updates, etc. Think Photoshop, etc. It's an on-demand instant-delivery model of distributing software. The 'as a Service' thing is more an industry term. What you can take away from Lionhead saying this is that when you buy a £39.99 game, you'll get more for your moneys worth over time, probably with DLC or in game updates, but it should be free if they operate under the 'as a Service' model. If the game is something that's hosted on the Cloud, it could very well be something like an MMO."

Now please list all the games those studios have put out this gen.
Even 343 industries, working on Microsofti's BIGGEST key franchise, haven't actually put out a bloackbuster game (yet). I'm sure they will do a solid job with Halo as we know MS is going to throw all kinds money at them to get it right. But it's still got to be a concernconsidering Microsoft's staple the last couple years has been Halo, Gears, Forza, Fable. The fact the studio behind one of those games is done, should be troubling. Both the Fable and Gears franchises are now in doubt going forward (even though Gears does have a spinoff title announced).
IMO Lightbox is also a blow to Sony, as was Zipper. But the significance is not as high based on the importance of the games they have put out the last 5 years (which really did very little to beneift the PS3). To try and deflect the significance by listing a bunch of studios that are focus on casual games, or mobile apps, is just silly.

That has nothing to do with the subject at hand, the subject at hand is how many Games studios MS has, not what they make.Black & White wasn't bad.. I wish they would go back to their Bullfrog roots and make a new Dungeon Keeper and/or Populous..I guessed they realised they suck at making games, so they decided to do something else.

So they're going to make MMO style games, with a persistent world and constant updates.
Okay. This is bad how?

That has nothing to do with the subject at hand, the subject at hand is how many Games studios MS has, not what they make. You are listing studios that literally have 10 poeple working for them and have never made a major game. I would say that my point has everything to do with the subject at hand.
If a studio still "exists", but changes from console development to iOS development, to some free to play only development. Then they are as good as gone as far as making quality console games. Likewise if those studios were never created to make a major game in the first place (a couple of those were just "research" or exploring ways to monetize Kinect), there's also no point in listing them in a portfolio of "game developers"
