What games would you like to be on the X1? for me too much to mention but I have two that stand out and that is fight night champion and dragon's dogma.

I knew this Xbox1 backwards compatibility was to good to be true, i had expect "FULL" backwards compatibility, yeah that all games had worked but nope.

They are moving quick to get the list expanded. I am happy. I still have to load up Fallout 3 and RB6: Vegas but just don't have the time right now. Maybe this weekend.

Red Dead would be the one to add. I love it and I'm due for another play through.

xb1 does not have all games that are bc so if your fav game is not on there, then bc is pointless.

when there was bc on previous consoles (ps2) how often was bc used ever since? personally ive played a couple of games after but maybe a week or 2 weeks worth of gaming in 5 years. i imagine that most ppl would have like this amount. it only save shelf space

bc isnt pushing gaming fwd. its nice to play your old games, but in the grand scheme of things, its not pushing anything fwd.

does this bc improve performance of the game? 1080p-60fps?

is anyone mad that their car stereos doesnt play cassette tapes or 8 track or wax?

i get it, its a good feature....but this isnt a game changer. it wasnt a game changer last gen as well... ppl play newer games eventually. just hang on to your old systems. if you cant afford to buy a new system, fine go ahead and get an xb1, but lets just hope your games are actually bc

WiiU BC plays all my Wii games so yeah when i heard Xbox1 going to get BC i thought so...

This is a different situation and they spelled it out pretty clearly at E3....there shouldn't be any misunderstandings. Can you play online with the WiiU against Wii players?

It can, it's up to the publishers since it's an emulator and not a hardware related BC the publisher has to allow it. Any game that isn't on BC is due to the publisher itself

Pointless novelty feature. If anyone is serious about playing lastgen games they should keep their lastgen consoles. My PS3 had BC and I used it twice throughout lastgen. LOL @ lems trying to make this seem like a reason to own Xbone.

Well last time I checked the ps4 is PULLING away from the x1 since 2013. The ps4 is actually selling more here in NA over the x1, so that excuse have just been rendered "moot".

If it makes you feel better (honestly, you shouldn't have feelings attached to gaming consoles) I will say it once again. BC IS GOOD. It's good Xbone has BC coming. It's NOT FOR ME as I would prefer to use my 360s to play 360 games, but I recognize there is uses for other users without 360s. Just as there was uses for Atari BC, Wii BC, PS2 BC, PS3 BC, Wii U BC, 360 BC, etc. I bought my Xbone/PS4/Wii U for new experiences and I've told you this before. It's why I don't like Remasters. AS I've not stated about 100x in SW to fanbots who get butthurt which you shouldn't be classified as.

@SolidTy: To be fair, many articles on gaming websites are "news about upcoming news," especially when you have developers/executives teasing things. Heck, articles on events like PS Experience are generally "news about upcoming news" since we have absolutely no idea what will be shown.

This is great for people who have sold their 360 and still have the games.

I think the best way Sony can compete is if they did a PSNOW/bc hybrid. When you put in a ps3 disc, the ps4 identifies it, but doesnt run off the disc itself, instead will run on their psnow servers. I dont know if thats possible though.

@GearsOfWarLover: I also wondered if that was possible. But that seems somewhat taxing for a server. With X1 emulation, it's a one time stream of data and that's it. PSNow/ BC seems to be a continuous stream of data from many, many different areas. And I think we can all agree Sony doesn't have anywhere near the amount of servers as Microsoft.

Good news, I want Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Third strike Online and Ultra Street Fighter IV.

The Gears of War series most likely. Will love to dive into some Horde Mode again for some co-op crazyness. Will be looking forward to the next announcement.

This is probably the best move MS have made this gen... They didn't set the bar high, but this competes with some of the ideas that made the PS4 the go-to for this gen. It's late, but definitely not too little.

That's what happens when you are serious about playing older games, you maintain your older consoles. Why would anyone want to play from a shitty limited list of old lastgen games that perform worse than they did on lastgen consoles when you can still play the older games on your working lastgen consoles the way they were meant to be played?

It's announced on PS4/Vita so it is a PS exclusive. The Asian market release exclusive means nothing thanks to regions being locked. It will be released in the US anyway since demand will be high. Face it, Xbox is a dying brand. The momentum they had is all gone and it started back in 2008 with the PS3 gaining steam. Europe pretty much abandon Xbox now too which was huge for MS. Doesn't make sense to release a game on a platform with only one decent market. They'll probably lose money since Xbox is a dudebro console and hardly eat up anything that doesn't have guns.

Persona 5 was billed as a PlayStation 3 exclusive, that was axed due to the PlayStation 4 where development shifted now it's simply PlayStation exclusive.

Nier 2 has been announced as being exclusive to the PlayStation 4.

Disgaea 5 has been developed for the PlayStation 4 as an exclusive, it will not be ported, this is from the developer themselves.

Dragon Quest XI is on the 3DS

Guilty Gears Xrd is exclusive to the PlayStation moniker outside of the arcade.

What was the point of your post? Show me something that says Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is exclusive to the PlayStation, you can't because it's never been said that it is so don't even bother replying.

I feel like it's gonna be solid for the most part, but with obvious drawbacks over native 360 play... At least they saw it was a feature people wanted, so hopefully we get native BC in the next Sony/MS systems. I bought a PSTV today mostly to play through P4G again, but also cos I miss the old PS1 classics... Loved my 60GB PS3 for the BC.
