its interesting how many hype lbp aaa but never hurt about Garrys mod or phun ! for me it sounds like they are ps3 fanboys who are only interestet in games if it comes for the ps3

if i like lbp ? yes i do but only course im interestet in those kind of editors (for me its not a game !)

and its NOT great too build platformer and it would not really be good rebuild levels of old platformer like mario sonic etc course of the char physics in lbp you cant change ! they floating so there would never be a challenge too land on something !

its good for building puzzles or test physics or try too screw them up :) but plz stop those stupid platform argument

Uh...ok, but Gamespot can only review content that comes with the game, not the user-created stuff.

I mean, it definitely has the potential to have awesome levels, but if none of the official levels are awesome, then the game will probably get a lower score.

Take Garry's Mod, people rave about it in here all the time and what do they have to show it off what's impressive about it? A bunch of nerd humor, poorly done cutscenes, with Half Life 2 models spouting the catchphrase of the week.

Alongside all of the crap, Garrysmod spawned a whole bunch of innovative multiplayer modes, some truly awesome robots/machines, and some great machinima (none of which can easily to done in LBP, as far as I can tell).

So, while 90% of all user-created content should never have been made, there's bound to be a few great modders out there making something worthwhile.

I saw the gameplay and the graphics arent great, and it looks like bonk adventure going through sonic type boards. I mean honestly you think this is AAA material? Tell me why, or try and convince me. It allows user created content to be dropped immediately into the virtual world with realistic physics, actions etc. They in turn have an adverse effect on how to create/move around your own created world. Nothing has ever been done on this level.Dilrod

Just because something has never been done b4, doesn't mean its a good thing to do...... I for one don't see whats so appealing about it.... I watched some videos on GameTrailers, and mostly I saw sped up videos of a level creation. It looks like quite a chore to develop a level.

I think the graphics are excellent. I don't think that is any issue at all.

However, the gameplay looks blah. Does anyone know of links to videos of this game where its really cool? I basically mostly saw hopping around, collecting dots among interesting contraptions. There HAS to be more to it.

You have to be joking. They are completely different type of games from LBP. In Mario and Sonic, there is a sense of purpose and fun for jumping around. There are also boss battles and fun mini games that paces nicely along with all the hectic action. LBP, on the other hand, there is no sense of purpose. It's just get from A to B. From what I seen, it's nothing but mindless hoping game with some frustrating-looking puzzles along the way. However, the user-content seems like a nice touch.

i guess it did not dawn on you that your the boggest ps 3 hater on here so of course it looks like crap to you.

i have two children and this game will be a blast to play with my family im sorry you don't have one yet.

its not just about user created content its about the community it will bring, Home will be out before LBP comes out and for example some levels will be really hard or impossible to finish alone so you will go into home and find 3-4 other players to go into that level to complete it

should be really fun and quite amazing, some people have really creative/artistic minds and im really looking foward to playing some of those levels

You are missing something - the fact that people want more than a library of FPS and arcade racers. People want fun, original titles that offer something different. Why do you think the Wii is so successful? It is offering something the other guys aren't so it attracts more people.

And the way I see it, as a REAL gamer, more is better. I want different games. I want to see developers doing more to offer something new.
