Little Big Planet is the best game this generation.

To be entirely honest, this game has kept me addicted for around 2 months now. The level editor in this game has unlimited possibilities, and the storymode is highly addticing. It is the best reason to own a PS3.

Youre quick to jump in SW.. I do agree that LBP is one hell of a game, but it's not the best imo.killerfist

To be honest myself, i finished it in a single day rent, and the level design was so tedious that i deceided to never go back to the game for any reason, especially since the gameplay was so simlistic and shallow

I had tons more fun playing Braid, that was a far more innovative and better crafted platformer, with actually new ideas than a level editor

The best reason to own a PS3 is FF13vs for me, LBP is definatly not one for me at least

BTW what exactly makes LBP the best RPG game this generation ?

Little Big Planet is going to be remembered as one of the great games of this generation for sure.

At our house we keep coming back to LBP most recently we've been working our way thru the Contra levels.

They are a good challenge if you haven't tried them yet.

No. It fails at it's very own genre, Galaxy is a far superior platformer. The level creator? Yeah super, if you could create decent gameplay. Sadly you can't and the result is a lot of pretty levels that are nice to look at but the same dull, boring experiance again and again.

I've yet to see a single level that wow'ed me. The joke is theres been more creativity and more amusing, fun things coming out of Halos forge which doesn't give you the amount of freedom a map maker should do.

It is a game built off of this gen mentality. Its all about the integration of online and user created content driving the game, not developer created. This is a very new mentality for video games.

Mods have been doing this for years, but they jsut borrow an engine from another game, this is a video game that is built upon player made content.

I don't think it is the best game this gen, but it defeantly has some radically new ideas.

Ferrari I agree with you it's one of the best games ever created all the online levels you can play through is amazing and the game is funner than I can think off and addicting daily I find myself turning it on.

don't listen to the haters most are lemmings that never played it and hate sony they don't have a clue, just listen to reviews and web site which praise the game and outrank it more than 95% of 360 games and in some sites it's the highest scoring game plus it won 2 Game of the Year for 2008.

for me LBP does not equal Game of the year it equals Game of the Century

I think SMG is a far superior platformer.
