Recently while messing about with my ps3 i noticed small little things that makes things a whole lot easier. with HDMI controller turned on from the menu, all i have to do is push the ps button on the controller and my ps3 will turn on the tv and entertainment system its connected to. Another handy feature i only noticed was when i was watching a season of prison break on dvd i stopped watching to play a game. after a week of playing various games i popped the dvd back in and it played straight away where i was watching from the week before. Also found the printing feature quite handy for some game screenshots taken. All these features are never mentioned when comparing systems and are good little gems.

Is there anything i dont know that my 360 can do? I'm sure it has a few handy features that are never mentioned too. Or even more that the ps3 can do?

HDMI controller? Just don't turn the switch the power off on the back of the system and you can turn it on with the controller.

Hmm. dont think this can be put on the little things but im enjoying the video edit, upload feature PS3 has. i can directly upload and edit any video i want or any video i record from a game i played and edit/uplaod to my youtube channel, this has made it way easier than me copying it to an external HDD and upload form my PC. tho yup i like the other feature too about 1 botton that opens up both the PS3 and PC at the same time

You mean HDMI-CEC support? thats Slim exclusive feature :) Did you know if your TV supports device remote over HDMI (Sumsung Anynet+, Sony Bravia link, producers use strange names for it but it's the same HDMI-CEC) you can use your TV remote as PS3 remote? Go to setting and avtivate HDMI Remote Control (ofcorse you need to do the same with TV settings)

HDMI controller is the function that allows the ps3 to control the device it is plugged into so just by pushing the ps button it can turn on the tv and surround system as well as the ps3. it will also turn it off with some systems when you shut the ps3 down.

As i said TV producer starngely like to cover HDMI-CEC support under starnge names and Sony adrvitise it for PS3 Slim as "BraviaLink support" since this is name that Sony use for Bravia TVs, but in reality it's normal HDMI-CECthat will work with all devices that support that. They probably want to atract people to by hardware only from there corporation in name of magic synchonization

Unless your 360 doesn't have a HDD :(

I knew about this feature before I had a PS3, but I don't think many people know about it. As far as I know, most USB controllers will work on the PS3.

Read something that you always throw away when you unboxing things, Manual :p they usally deascribe every feature that people commonly don't even know about. For example did you knwo that DS3 controllers have hiden pin button (small hole) not for from L2 button to it's reset peering settings? i discover it by reading manual half year after i got PS3.

PS3 also have safe mode that allows to reinstall firmware and restore/reset system settings

Yeah, HDMI-CEC is one of those little touches that add up. I can just turn on my TV, receiver, and PS3, and all of it instantly switches to the proper settings without the need for a universal remote.

Yeah, but who seriosuly dosent have a HDD for their console yet? The people that bought the arcade more then likely wouldnt care about old XBOX games anyway because its pretty clear they bought that SKU to only play 360 games without downloads or whatever.

you can use your DirectTV remote with the 360. (except it's a pain to configure for some models, like mine)

I didn't know that hitting the 'eject' button would turn on my 360.that was an accidental and insignificant find.

closing and opening the tray with the controller. launching demos and arcade games from the guide was a nice find as well.
