Good for that, it just goes to show that if you market a game it can sell. Not that LO is not deserving of sales, it's an excellent JRPG

...ya, you're right. Going by the critics, DMC 4 and Burnout are the better games. So, marketing does help. You can sell dog crap if you got a good marketing team. Not referring to Lost Odyssey.

While people still care about them, people are not buying them, a look on the "Bestsellers" list of the Gamespot webpage showed that Halo 3, Mass Effect, CoD4, and Assassin's Creed are not on that list but Lost Odyssey is. When they say Best Selling it means currently.

See the difference with this thread and the other is that the other thread was a VS thread. All I was saying that this JRPG game fed the JRPG hungry gamers. WKS isn't out yet to feed the JRPG hungry. And who knows, WKS might end up being like Blue Dragon which didn't get JRPG hungry gamers full. LO is available and has proven itself to satisfy.

I know he would probably trash a ff game in any thread when LO is basically an ff game without the name or so im told. The only reason he's praising it is because its 360 exclusive. Had that game been on ps3 you'd hear him calling it garbage. No doubt in my mind.

Yeah, we really do. This game and Devil May Cry 4 are all the fruits of MS working hard in Japan. I buy some of these games to show support for japanese developers on the 360.

I bought it online a few days ago...should be here any day now. :D

I have not seen ONE bad user impression yet, everyone loves the game, so it was expected

No wonder Square makes FF13 engine on 360 now, they want a share of the pie, get ready for a FF13 on 360 port

I wouldn't be jumping up and down just yet. It only did slightly better than blue dragon's first week in NA, and alot worse than Blue Dragon in japan so far (less than 100k since early 07 release)

Still, it has a small chance at passing 1 million.
