Especially considering how hard they rip into Sony for the initial Killzone demo for being "fake" and "cgi". And even now that most previews claim the actual game matches the demo, the lemmings insist it is not even close, the game looks terrible, and Sony is a bunch of evil liars.

But it's okay if MS does it. They insisted that image was what the actual game would look like (did the same for Halo 2) and now they claim it looks just as good if not better.

Quite frankly the current build looks knowhere as good as the E3 trailer. That is so blatantly obvius...
And these images are touched up when uploaded adding AA.

All the bump mapping and detail is gone, as is the luvverly high res textures.

it's not the color that matters. the old armor had better texturing. look at the present day armor, it's flat. removing the bump-mapping is a type of graphical downgrade.

You know its funny. The Killzone 2 trailer came out and everyone said.... WOW ! but no way. And it was found out it was fake. Sony eats piles of **** for it.

Bungie shows this "real time" footage and everyone goes WOW ! and so way ! And now its so obvious its not real time, yet people don't give M$ any crap over it, yet " Teh HALOZ 3 = teh best game eva ! " ... no just no.

And look at the "real time" pic and look at that in game pic posted.... they are nothing alike except they both use Master Chief as the source matieral.

It was in engine and running on a dev kit. Bungie proved it by showing reporters a version of it wit ha controllable master chief. The MC model looks the same (except for different color) and the environment is very sparse so the textures are slightly higher res then the final game (but the lighting is better so thats where the trade off came probably).

Under bush we are fighting a war that cost billions a year and cost soldiers lives plus the 911 scandal. Under bush the economy went in the toilet and civil rights went back decades. SorryI don't see how another candidate could have done worse personally.

yes, for artistic reasons, yet at the same time, it is a downgrade, because the former looked better technically, not just subjectively. the textures had more detail and looked more 3-dimensional. it could be that it was changed purely out of asthetic concerns like Bungie says, or it could be like the whole 640p issue: a sacrifice in order to retain other things. the lighting is the same, meaning it's stillawesome.
