Final Fantasy 1 isnt very fun to play now, FFIV, FFVI, VII, IX & X are the good ones that stand the test of time. To be honest, I really like both games but think Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger own all rpgs.

Hmmm, while I concur with you, may I politely ask to wich the many games of the FF series do your post refer to.

Or are you speaking of the entire series as one big RPG.

Square Enix only made one game I like and that was Chrono Trigger for the snes... last time I played it was in the late 90's.

Im really getting bored of FF BS these days... not one FF game is better than CT, but yet "cows" never mention the game.

Its kinda like some console gamer saying Oblivion is the best elder scroll game ever made... it makes me sick.

well, considering that FFXIII isn't out yet, that has yet to be determined.

I think it depends on which Final Fantasy. I prefer 12 whilst my cousins wife prefers 10. I do say though, 12 and Dragon Quest 8 are by far the best RPGs, they're just so amazing in quality.

Chrono Trigger was good, but my problem is they haven't made a new one!

I'm not getting bored of FF, simply because all other RPGs are the same aswell, they've all got the same game play system whether it is an action RPG or traditional RPG. Final Fantasy always come through with quality and I like the worlds that Square Enix creates. 13 and 13 versus both look really fresh, and sqaure said that they may try to do CGI turn based battles!

well WRPG characters are not generic because they have no personality, they are as original or as generic as you want them to be... but final fantasy is by no means generic

although the reviews defense really doesnt apply, i´d say that around 95% of all media that review games are afraid to give games like FF or Halo the score they actually deserve, personally Final fantasy X should´v been an 8.0 and X-2 a 7.5

SO let me see ... there are a over a dozen Final Fantasy games . After graphics have improved all male characters look like females. A lot of final fantasies have a bad storyline and boring gameplay . I don't see what's so fun about selecting the attack animation . Sure FF12 fixed that but it messed up almost everything else. And Mass Effect isn't the greatest shooter , that's true but that's why we have halo 3 :D

i never played morrowind (but i´d like to) and as for oblivion even with mods it was a disapointing RPG.. still i think that Wrpg are better then JRPG, since they give me the freedom i need

I said let it be... and I dont like the genre and that means pretty much every RPG has a hard time pleasing me including WRPG's.

I dont care if its the best game for a genre I hate and why should I respect it its justa game... :|

I do like action RPGS... thats why I can respect them... but hate and like are too far apart for me to me unbias towards games for the genres.

The only two JRPG that I actualy have enjoyed are Chrono Trigger and Eternal Sonata... the rest are all hoobla to me.

Exactly, thats just you. Everyone has their own opinion, but when majority say its great, then people need to realize that it actually is great. I can't stand when people say "teh mario galaxy is not 9.5 worthy its just that high cuz mario is in it" or Final Fantasy only scores high because of the name.

No its not, they're rated that well because maybe, just maybe they are actually that good. But no, anything from a japanese dev is boring generic crap thats over rated and rehashed in order to get good reviews.
