Yea, I heard 360 games were free as well. Besthesda would agree with me.

Pretty sure the selection of free PC games serverely out weighs the 360 games. Not to mention RROD can severely damage an illegal 360. But what do i know..

Not really, both are at 100%. Go figure.

Here's it more clearly for the poor lemming, every game on both platforms can be and has been pirated. Both are at 100%.

That's great, still doesn't change the fact all the games on the 360 can be pirated. His first post was that *Aren't all PC games free*, well the same is for 360 games, I never argued about how many people do them, all I said was that people do it.

No, that there are more PC games being pirated than 360 games.

Well you can essentially pirate any 360 game - I know first hand, friends do so - either download or rent and copy. One of them with a modded 360 had it RROD, they simply had the modder repair it.

Of course piracy is worse on PC, but the statement "Aren't PC games free anyways?" is pretty redundant when your neighbour happily touts a massive collection of pirated console games they got for free, and yet bought Armed Assault on PC a week ago...

Yes, which I responded with if the 360 had as many they would get pirated as well, so it makes no difference that the PC has more.

It's an inconvenience and nobody knows how much each will cost. It's ridiculous to release it this way, when you buy Starcraft II you expect to be able to play through all campaigns not be forced to buy another one after you finish with the campaign of whichever you got. NOT only this, but it will throw off anyone who would be interested in finishing all three campaigns...because you'd have to go out and buy it again, it will certainly feel like buying the same game twice. This is a horrible trend that other companies might follow. It's obvious that it is a nice way of making more money and we all know that all companies want to do that, but nobody really expected such milkage from Blizzard.

At first I loathed the fact that Blizzard is splitting SC2 into three seperate entities, but after some research and thought, I wholeheartedly understand why. From what I understand, there will be MASSIVE campaigns with RPG elements to the story that make having all three campaigns in one game impossible to price.

So it either comes down to splitting SC2 into 3 $50 games or releasing it all together at $120 - $150, which anyone with half a brain can predict that it will sell dramatically less. I think of it as getting a $150 game for three installments of $50. And anyone with half a brain can also predict that each will be AAA and have a multiplayer user base unlike any RTS out there. It IS Blizzard, after all - probably the only dev that make sure that you get what you pay for.

EDIT: typos

People are kind of not understanding whats going on. Okay, you get 1 campaign for each release. Instead of 3 short campaigns in game 1 (sc1) and then 3 short campaigns in (sc:bw) with additional units/mutliplayer changers.

Thats whats going to happen with this, 1 long campaign in game 1, then 1 campaign in game 2 with new units/multiplayer changes, then the same as the 2nd one.

I have to say that I dont think they will stick to their original though of 3 games. I forsee 2. The first one, then the 2nd one with 2 campaigns and multiplayer changes.

Theres nothing to really get upset about...

Firstly, I really don't care with what Blizzard goes it's their decision and I'm fine with eveything. I'll buy the first game and probably end up buying the other later if I'm still interested in that game. So not really a biggie. And yes it's a marketing ploy too, understandable :).

Secondy, I really don't know where the assurance comes from that StarCraft 2 will last 10 years like StarCraft 1? This are not '90s anymore, but if it does good for Blizzard. Besides Korea doesn't mean the world, so if the game is still a mass money maker there it isn't here in Europe.

Now my opinion while watching gameplay movies is not really exciting. Been there done that from the first Command & Conquer all the way to StarCraft. Gameplay vise it's no revolution and looks pretty dull by todays standards of which in my opinion Relic entertainment is the king these days. StarCraft 2 is more of the same 1998 feever. What I'm really looking forward is the story and cinematics, multiplay I really don't care about that much. But this is my opinion as said :).

For mutiplayer my eyes are focused on Dawn of War 2, even tho I know it will never be as big as any Blizzard game (which is a shame), I still see me enjoying it more as the standard rock, paper, scissors gameplay StarCraft has.

first of all i think the TC is kind of high off the blizzard kool-aid. secondly, blizzard should go **** themselves. what made starcraft so good was how you could be any faction in the online multiplayer and it was completely balanced. what they are doing now is forcing you to buy the other games so you can play the other factions online on battlenet. to me this is worse than EA and the whole DRM issue. vote with your money, only buy stuff if it's worth it. and no videogame is worth $150.(unless its an mmo, since they never end and are constantly changing)

   $150 for a computer game OMGGG!!???!?!???

Stop yourself

A.) They never released pricing information for the seperate additions (and if you think they'll charge $50 for a campaign, please go kill yourself).

B.) Even if they were $50 a piece, we are talking 36+ mission campaigns and who knows what else they may add.

C.) lol at the people saying you will only be able to play as one race in the online multiplayer. Please, just understand how stupid you sound.

D.) You know, console games cost $60 and most of them last 2 weeks to a month if you're lucky. Starcraft kinda lasted....gee i dont know -- 10 years. Think about what you're getting here.

E.) What's with the Starcraft 2 monthly fee rumours?

E.2) Monthly fees don't make sense for an RTS
E.3) The WoW monthly fee is possibly one of the greatest entertainment deals out there (if you like WoW)

E.4) How is Blizzard a money hungry milk machine when every game they make is king of its respected genre?

F.) Finally, it's Blizzard -- and you need to give them some respect for not only making huge campaigns for you to play through, but also for making games that are worth so much more than a measely $50. Blizzard games aren't like any others, they are more like hobbies that you will have for the rest of your life if you enjoy them.

So please, don't talk any more trash about the greatest developer on the planet.

kthxbye

Koalakommander

You know, console games cost $60 and most of them last 2 weeks to a month if you're lucky.

Biggest fail I read today.

I bought Gears of War for 360 and Halo 3 for 360 and liked them. Alot. Owned.

And since StarCraft was boring, I see no interest in this 1.

I'm not crying but I am recognising that this could be rip-of from Blizzard. You always want better deals and cheaper games, that has nothing to do with how much money you have. A millionaire would run out of money very fast if he got ripped-of all the time and made bad deals.

No one knows yet how Blizzard will price the games separately so it's rather pointless to speculate. It could be a huge rip-of but it could also be a superb deal.
