LOL Latest Game Informer listed worst of 2008, Too bad 360 Fans

Hi boys and girls!

It's time for me to get involved in this. I agree with PS3nut, 100%. I've owned the original Xbox 3 times over and 360 3 times, and everytime I've owned those systems I've had nothing but problems. Freeze up after freeze up. My friends started calling it the IceBox. I got so frustrated that went out and got the PS2. and you know what; NOT ONE PROBLEM. I owned it right up to the 360. Traded in my PS2 (BIG MISTAKE) for a 360 and guess what; more problems, including the ever popular; RROD. Got rid of it and got another one. And guess what; RROD. Thank God for the PS3. I've owned everything from the Dreamcast all the way up to the PS3 and I've never had more problems with any other system than with the Xbox and 360. So what if they have a bigger library. I'd rather have a smaller library and a reliable system than a bigger library and a CRAP system. Yeah, great dashboard, by the way. Froze up and RROD'd my system.

Don't forget about RROD is it bad or isn't? If it's bad then that would affect sales too right?

Basically GI and Cows say the RROD is terrible but the fact is 360 still is out selling the PS3. Sony can't even beat a broken console with red lights blinking at the PS3. :P

Im pretty sure 360 owners relize the hardware problems are ridicolous..... It has its problems but it also has its positives (best lineup of games by far of the consoles).

Ps 3 is not doing that bad in the sales department yes it's behind 360 but not by much iyou take away the money from the year head start PS 3 and 360 are pretty much even.

but yes you are right it is a disapointment PS 3 is not selling better probably when PS 4 comes out they need to do the right thing rush out the systems to poor saps as soon as possible to get money even though you know the system is broken and make it real dirt cheap, yea that's how business goes.

I hear cows (360 is rushed crap that RRODs ) But when you bring up 360 selling better you don't hear about RROD.

That faulty disk scratching RROD console is out selling the PS3 even with added Blu-Ray. :lol:

Well the latest game informer arrived today and they listed the top 10 disappointments of 2008 and guess what took the number one spot as the biggest disappointment of 2008 ?

Good ol' Microsoft 360's Red Ring of Death is still going strong enough to make it to the top of the list.

So as i said a million times to you 360 fanboys before, the PS3 library can always improve and grow, but the 360 hardware will always be garbage...

Time to face the facts that every other magazine and website seems to know, accept you guys in S.W..

Blue Ray has helped sony in consumers purchasing the PS 3 it's a bonus most including me love having blue ray in the PS 3 it's like the icing on the cake in fact i'm excited to get "The Dark Knight" on Blue Ray soon, as far as price it hasn't helped the PS 3 because of the expensive cost of making blue ray now over time that's a different story over time blue ray will help sony as blue ray get's cheaper and the cost of making the PS 3 also decreases the blue ray is an added feature that makes the PS 3 more desirable to gamers and non gamers alike.

You shouldn't be mad at us getting blue ray you should be happy for us the blue ray is awesome it's way better than the features on your 360 the wonderful rrod and disk scratching.

ms yea they still have rrod , what else dont break besides nes snes or n64, genesis mainly the cart based consoles dont break easy as disc based ones do

Aparently m$ needs to add more features like rrod because sales truthfully have not been that good for m$ they are 28 million and PS 3 is 20 million meaning that m$ has the same lead it had with the 1 year head start ooops have they made any progress in those 2 years they were not alone as the next gen system apparently not

and m$ isn't making much money cause most of the money they get from sales aparently they are losing billions because of lawsuits and the economy is hitting them hard as well look at the workers they had to cut m$ is also struggling

Nope you're just wrong Each $399 80GB console costs $449 Sony to make. There is no PS3 hardware revision in a few months. Gamespot just ran and article on this.

I've had RROD on me twice and I've bought a seond Xbox360 as well. never in my mind did I think then to actually get a PS3!

The games are on the Xbox360, the online play, cheap as to replace or purchase a new one for your home lan setup! I guess all 360 fans feel real bad :)

yea, and the 360 is better! i can state my opinion jst as well. Given the only problem really for the 360 is the RROD, but people still get it because of the GAMES and the cheaper PRICE. What's better then that?

I'd also rather have choice of a selection of games then just a few "good " exclusives.

The PS2 was the weaker of the previous generations, and it had a notorious hardware issues,but still provided good gaming value. So cheap to buy with a huge library of games. I recognised that and I bought one, just like I bought an Xbox360 over a PS3.

I remember PONG, but that predates me by a few years. I am 24, so it seems you have some experience on me. I would agree that to me the PS3 is the better system from a reliability PoV (absolutely here, no doubt in my mind). Its also a good game system, but for me personally, the 360 has been a more complete gaming system to me. I still love the PS3, but it is not my primary gaming system. It may sound cliche, but I spend more time with it as a Blu-Ray player (I am also a huge movie fan, possibly more than gaming, but I doubt it).

you have to be patient with the PS3, becuase isn't that the motto? "just wait....." what ever year of the PS3 it is. I still want to play my games. instead of promises.

the added blu-ray is not a bonus- you're paying for it. What else is there that makes the PS3 more expensive? Sony droped the ball when they thought they could sweep this generation "the next gen doesn't start until we say so..." by touting the PS3 as the Blu ray Player like they did with the PS2. Why didn't it work.

their decisions were out manouvered by their competitior MS, a console that is still comparable in performance and technology, out a year earlier, larger base of games, a better consistant online service, multiplats generally looking better, because it is easier to develop for,

Blue Ray has helped sony in consumers purchasing the PS 3 it's a bonus most including me love having blue ray in the PS 3 it's like the icing on the cake in fact i'm excited to get "The Dark Knight" on Blue Ray soon, as far as price it hasn't helped the PS 3 because of the expensive cost of making blue ray now over time that's a different story over time blue ray will help sony as blue ray get's cheaper and the cost of making the PS 3 also decreases the blue ray is an added feature that makes the PS 3 more desirable to gamers and non gamers alike.

You shouldn't be mad at us getting blue ray you should be happy for us the blue ray is awesome it's way better than the features on your 360 the wonderful rrod and disk scratching.

you need to focus your hate on the people that deserve it the greedy m$ workers who rushed the system to your doors without making sure it's reliable only to get your $$$

Blu-Ray helps sales but then it drive the price up so it doesn't. RROD is bad but it drives 360 sales up.

Tons of exclusive Devs are leaving Sony DMC has a 20 min install. The PS3 is selling the worst, the software is selling the worst, the PS3 is the most expensive console on the market and Sony is losing money on every console sold. I'm not mad at all I love RROD it sell more consoles remember.

Aparently m$ needs to add more features like rrod because sales truthfully have not been that good for m$ they are 28 million and PS 3 is 20 million meaning that m$ has the same lead it had with the 1 year head start ooops have they made any progress in those 2 years they were not alone as the next gen system apparently not

wii just flew past them like they were not even there and they can't even get rid of the PS 3 which is $200 more expensive m$ really took advantage of that one year head start

No it means that most consumers don't know about the RROD problem that is occuring with most 360's when buying it.. I was the very same when I bought my 360.

Its sucks but at least the fall jasper chipset should lessen the burden. 360-Fever

So what were the other 9? I'm sure there were a couple of things about Sony and PS that you conveniently *forgot* to mention. But people should really stop using the PS2 as an excuse for RROD- it had less problems than the 360 and a vastly better library. PS2 DRE does not suddenly make the RROD acceptable.Floppy_Jim
