If you only had limited interest to begin with I doubt anything above the price of a new game would count you in anyway. Relatively speakingI lol'd when i saw the price of Natal. The little excitement of the product vanished. I'm looking forward to Move, but what if it's the same price?

Well, what do you mean by Move. Is it just camera + one move, camera + move + nunchuck, camera + move + nunchuck + game, camera + 3move + 3nunchuck?I lol'd when i saw the price of Natal. The little excitement of the product vanished. I'm looking forward to Move, but what if it's the same price?

I won't judge any of them until I put my hands on them ( no pun intended for natal lol) , if it's super awesome I'd gladly pay 150$ for it , if it suck I won't pay 20$ , so it's hard to say , let's just wait and see.
Natal. They are trying to go after the causual.
Move is trying to go after hard core gamers. The wii ruined motion controll for most hard core.
Pricing won't matter. Even if Move is $100 and Natal is $150, Natal will still sell significantly better. I'm willing to put money on that.
The camera and the Move wand will be $99. The other controller will probably be $40 extra. I'm sure the Move Wand will be $49.99 seperately. Remember both controls with have rumble, plus all those sensors that read the location and movement of the controller. They aren't going to be cheap. Natal isn't going to be more then $99 and it'll most likely come with a game.If Sony packages the camera, a controller and the analog controller in one bundle then it could get pricy....especially if you buy four controllers and an extra analog controller.

Move has been stated to be priced at less than $100 for the PSEye, a Move controller and a game.
If Sony were willing to go back into the red on the console itself for the sake of market penetration they could start bundling the PSEye in every PS3 SKU, so that people would only need to buy Move controllers.
[QUOTE="urdead18"]He's talking hypothetical :|In the hypothetical that Move was priced at $149, then it would similarly be hypothetically too expensive.Pretty sure Move is $99 for camera, game and controller.

Although I'm partially starting to suspect that this is a deliberate controlled leak, so that they can announce a lower price and have people think "Oh that's cheaper than I thought."
Not all that interested in either, but the cost of $100 for Move seems to just be smoke and mirrors. Every game I've seen demoed for the system has used two of the ball on a stick controllers, so basically to play most of the games you will need to buy an extra controller right? Not to mention every person playing on Move will need at least one controller and possibly 2 controllers just to play. That could add up to some serious coin for a couple of people.
Think about it $100 for the initial purchase then probably $49.99 for each additional ball on a stick, and probably $29.99 for each additional wireless nunchuck. Even if you already have the Eye it will still probably cost $130 just for two ball on a stick controllers, and a nunchuck, and that's per person.
With Natal the demos have shown multiple people playing with one Natal. So basically the entire cost of admission for Natal would be just the one camera. So even if it is $150 it would be a better value, especially for multiple people. I personally think Natal will actually be closer to $100, but I could be wrong. Right now the price is just a rumor.
How much if you already purchased the camera? 40-50?Pretty sure Move is $99 for camera, game and controller.

I think Natal will sell more and be cheaper. To get a full move experience you need
The price of getting all of that will probably be more than what Natal cost.
Will Natal even support more than one player? I haven't watched many Natal videos so I don't know.Chutebox
that's a really great point, it's not going to be alot of use for a party if one person at a time can play it.
with the price of move, it looks like both are planning to keep the online friends >>>>>>> real friends mentality they both have had this gen.
its only a rumor at the moment! wait tell ms says the price as of now no1 knows natals price on ps3 fans seem to know at the moment.I lol'd when i saw the price of Natal. The little excitement of the product vanished. I'm looking forward to Move, but what if it's the same price?

look. whichever comes out as the least expensive will sell more. initinal price is everything. most consumers does see features and such they only see how much will this cost me. look at the 360 and ps3 for an example. the 399 ps3 vs. 199 360. 360 crushed the ps3 due to price. if you want all the stuf fthe ps3 couls do like wifi, and bluray you would endup spending lots more but no one cared because they saw "I can spend 199 and be playing 360 tonigt." the same will happen with the move and natal who ever is most affordable will win. the only challenge I see is if they are the same price and sony tries to make it look like you are getting so much more with a camera, game , and wand vs. a camera and a game. average consumer will only see there is more in the box for the same price.
Move is about choice; you can buy all those extras if you want, but all you need is a wand and PSEye. You won't even need to buy the $100 bundle with a game, because you'll no doubt be able to pick up a Wand and PS Eye for $80 or less.I think Natal will sell more and be cheaper. To get a full move experience you need
- Two wands
- Eye toy
- 1 nunchuck
The price of getting all of that will probably be more than what Natal cost.

To be honest, it's hard for me to imagine using my PS3 as a "party" system. A second controller would be nice to have for co-op play, but it's hardly a necessity to me. As for the nunchuk, I'll just have to wait and see how uncomfortable or comfortable the regular controller is as a nunchuk.
They said less than $100 for the move, game and camera. Could be any price below $100, I wouldn't be surprised if it's $99.99 though lol.Pretty sure Move is $99 for camera, game and controller.
urdead18
The Move controller alone will be cheaper than that bundle of course.
