first of all wiiu didnt die early the typical life span of any console is 5 to 6 years 360 ps3 wii gen was the exception

lets look at the schedule of nintendo hardware on the console side of things since handhelds are another story

snes 1992-1997

wii-2006-2013

wiiu -2012-2017

switch 2017 present

so where is wiiu cut short it had 5 years the same as all nintendo consoles besides nes and wii which both lasted beyond the 5 years at 6 or 7

especially when the bigger games were just beginning to come out. PS4 was a really slow burn in terms of games. and if developement switches to co launches with ps5 for last of us/spiderman/daysgone/ghosts of tsushimi etc...It means the PS4 library is actually pretty weak.

not to mention sales will be less than ps3 at launch cut off. ps4 launched when ps3 was at 85M...now ps5 will cut off ps4 at 70 something.

They don't outsell their OG counterparts, the proportion of X1X and PS4 PROs sold are abysmal compared to base hardware.

No the xbox launched on 2001 and by 2005 there was a 360,yet from 2005 to 2013 we didn't see another xbox consoles,that generation was an irregular one,and by no means the standard.
