The Firepro is a 1.3 TF GPU for workstation is cost $400 or more, while having less performance than the 7850.
It make no sense what so ever for MS to use it.
Face it Ron the xbox one has a 7790 with 2 CU disable and 800mhz or less that is a fact.
tormentos
Face it tormentos, W5000's Crysis 2 benchmarks is slower than 7790. The difference between 825 Mhz and 800Mhz is just 3 percent.
If you read http://www.alivegamezone.com/2013/02/20/crysis-3s-graphics-only-5-to-10-better-on-console-says-crytek-ceo/
This time around the consoles couldnt gain much more, For consoles, not much could be pushed on the graphic side of things. Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli told Eurogamer in an interview. It was like a five per cent or ten per cent gain. Thats it.
Targeting a console gains another 5 to 10 percent (which is not enough for Unreal Engine 4 SVOGI enabled demos btw).
-----
As for the $400 retail cost, BOM for W5000 is similar to 7850 and there's even a "7830" (or 7850 ES or AFox branded 7850) prototype with the same 768 stream processor count.

With FirePro, you pay for the enterprise level software driver support. Grow up clown.
PS; My posting with "7830" or W5000 Crysis 2 benchmarks conflicts with http://www.videogamer.com/news/xbox_one_and_ps4_have_no_advantage_over_the_other_says_redlynx.html
The Xbox One and PS4 are on a equal footing according to Trials creative director Antti Ilvessuo.
Speaking to VideoGamer.com at E3, Ilvessuo said: " Obviously we have been developing this game for a while and you can see the comparisons. I would say if you know how to use the platform they are both very powerful. I don't see a benefit over the other with any of the consoles."
Ilvessuo also explained that "It all depends on how you use the platform and how you use it right. That's the thing."
