I love dragons, and my PS3, but theres no way I would ever take just Lair over the entire 360 holiday line-up. Thats just fanboyism, if I had all the games it would then be worth the purchase. I already made my choice though, and Im extemely happy with it.

And even if that nowhere magazine gave lair 3,75, another gave it 9/10.

Well, cows seriously said it was AA (SW sticky), GS is always the final authority, and reviews really are opinions, they are there to help us, not so that we can read it and say, wow, that was great, we read reviews to know a good or bad a game is.

And to dispell the "We'll wait to see how GS reviews it" and "we never said AAA" and "reviews are opinion" etc. etc. etc. You all overhyped this game and it will fall by the wayside, much like motorstorm and probably Killlzone in a few months. I know sony hasn't given you much to believe in over the past year but please don't fall victim to putting games like Lair in the same conversation as Mass Effect and BioShock and Halo3... It's just not smart.

Ms has a much more diverse library of games than PS3, matter of fact, isn't PS3 the console that is agressivly producing shooters?? its living and breathing on Killzone overhype.... I'm gonna be too busy playing Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Lost Odyssy, Mass Effect over the next year...

Not at 60 dollars a pop... I may pick one up in the bargain bin in a few years... 3.75=75 at GS...

Why is it hard to think that maybe a particular reviewer didn't enjoy the game as much as others lol. And what is 3.75/5, the equivalent of a 7.5 which is only one off from the hype. I'm pretty sure this thread has just been debunked

All of your examples are talking about Lair's graphics.....which are great and just because people might hype the hell out of the graphics doesn't mean they are hyping the game itself. Graphics =/= Gameplay , which has always been the question with this game (has it not?). In the end, when "the chips were on the table" people hyped Lair AA.

how is it not "near" the hype....75 is the same as 7.5.....it's one score away from the GShype....this thread has already died man

People hyped the HELL outta the graphics. And they are freakin' awesome. The gameplay was always the big question (wasn't it). Just because you say a game looks freakin' amazing doesn't mean that you think the game overall will reach that quality.
