Lords of the Fallen: Overrated, Underrated, or Just Right?

I'd go with underrated.

I really liked it. I found it very accessible without a punishing difficulty but not a walk in the park either. Not weighed down with unnecessary extras and unexplained convoluted features. Plus I only got it for $9 on that 6 hour sale before they took it down as a mistaken listing (devs didn't think it was a mistake), but they honored the rights acquisitions. Pretty good considering before I played it I had little interest in it.

I'd be willing to tell you if my computer would run the game. It's an amazing deal right now on Steam.

Underrated

It's a lot like BB and DS yet those same players tend to dislike it

Its garbage. Level design, monsters design, boss design is all trash (especially the spongy bosses). Animations and visuals (not art style. Art was mediocre at best.) were the only good thing about this game. It has nothing on any of the Souls games. Generic wannabe Souls game is what this POS really is.

A stopgap until Bloodborne came out. A rip off that was fairly inoffensive, decently good looking, but ultimately, like The Bootleg Beatles or the Clone Roses.

It looks fantastic and plays just like any Souls game it just looks better which let's face it isn't difficult: no plot whatsoever and endless combat you would think Souls fans would love it the mistake they made is they didn't start you on hard difficulty which is all it takes for Souls fans to be impressed.

Lords of the Fallen 2 will start you on nightmare difficulty and Souls fans will suddenly realise those games are shit and will love this instead, completely incapable as they are of going into options menus and changing difficulty of their own accord.

I loved it. Better than Dark Souls II.

It's a decent game, combat felt slow but that can be refined in a sequel.

Not as good as DS1/BB but I enjoyed it more than DS II which was bloated and inconsistent.

@with_teeth26: ds2 was more than bloated and inconsistent. It was straight up bad, they were clearly working on Bloodborne while finishing up ds2 as some of the BB assets were drastically improved ds2 assets.

Incredibly underrated. Got it before the Souls games and I loved it. Recently started playing it again.

It was an okay game at best. Wasn't as bad as some make it out to be, but I didn't feel like even finishing the game. The bosses did have a spongey way about them. Regular enemies weren't bad, but boss fights were pretty lackluster.

Straight trash homie. Complete garbage and a huge disappointment.

If we are going by Steam metrics, I guess I was a little surprised when I saw it as mixed. But then I figured blah blah blah SOULS man etc.

Totally underrated. Very enjoyable game. A little bit on the easy side except the last boss though.

I'd put the Dark Souls games in the 9-10/10 range and Lords of the Fallen in the 6-7/10 range. No magic in them like the Souls games have.

Played it after finishing one of the souls games and Thought it was pretty bad

It's like a bad Souls game. Dropped it after 2h or so.
