[QUOTE="mjarantilla"][QUOTE="ut3nophysics"][QUOTE="mjarantilla"][QUOTE="ut3nophysics"] WOW ARE PEOPLE NOT VERY BRIGHT ? PLEASE IM NOT BASHING YOU
PS3 HAS 256 FOR CPU AND 256 FOR CPU
XBOX360 HAS 512 MB UNIFIED THE CPU CAN USE 512 MB OR GPU THERORETICALLY.
the reason the game looks ass on ps3 because it doesnt have enough ram avalible for devs to use to achieve same texture resolutions of graphical detail.

Actually, the GPU on the PS3 can access all 512MB of RAM on the PS3. The CPU can only access 256MB, but the CPU needs less RAM than the GPU anyway.
i highly doubt that, it uses nvidia turbocache like cheap pc graphics cards.
not to mention ps3 os uses more ram.
Believe it. Go to Beyond3D and read their articles if you don't believe me. The RSX on the PS3 has TWO memory buses, not just one. One goes to the 256MB of GDDR3 RAM, and the other goes to the Cell via a FlexIO bus, and the Cell acts as the memory controller for the RSX in accessing the XDR RAM.
ok explain this?
ps2 has 32 mbcpu ram and 4 mb video gpu ram.
dreamcast had 16 mb cpu and 8 mb video gpu ram
unreal tournament on ps2 had better graphics because of more cpu ram, ut on dc had downgraded textures and geometry and levels taken out, explain that with it having 4 mb more video ram than ps2?
There's more to board-level design than how much memory is available. Unless you can tell me how the pathways and buses were laid out between the main RAM, CPU, GPU, and VRAM for both systems, I can't tell you why the PS2 version would look better.
