Lots of reported issues for PS5

GPU failures. Coil whining, systems won’t turn on. SSD failures.

Plus you know it’s bad, when tormented himself, a.k.a. crap gamer reports about it

This thread will quickly drop to the bottom of the page and yet the fake SeX console blowing smoke went 3 pages.

There seems to be multiple problems with the PS5, but there's one thing you can bet your life savings on, and that's no cow on here will experience ANY problems whatsoever lol.

Thanks God , the launch here is not happening here yet and the consoles cost $800 than in the US, I don't want to be a tester for either company.

Let me add this. We are not talking a few bad cases. We are talking many thousands. Sony customer support is getting hit hard.

Literally tones of videos on YouTube of PS5’s broken or having issues. I just didn’t want to flood the thread with videos.

Only thing I've experienced so far as I've had a few random crashes.

Rushed consoles thanks to cohoax-19 , probably they rushed the production without even checking the consoles quality or bad manufacturing.

I had to change my USB power time while in rest mode from 3 hours to always so I could charge my controller. So far, that's the only issue I've had.

Seems like both consoles are having some issues. I'd like to weigh in, but I don't need a Series X, and i'm waiting to buy a PS5.

There's really a lot of people with PS5 issues but it's impossible to know exactly how bad it is. More people bought PS than Xboxes so you should see more, but it is a lot of people. Concerning.

I’ve had a PlayStation since launch and have not encountered any issues yet.

Got a small issue with Demon's as well. The game wouldn't boot at all. You could eject the disc, put it back in, and still nothing. The only way was to reboot the console.

Well, that settles everything.

My Xbox series X crashed today after 15 minutes of playtime / my son down loaded Sonic Generations and was playing when i decided to take a shower / while shaving he comes dashing in to the bathroom telling me that his controller lost connection. I then attempted to press the power button with no results then i switched the cords after checking a few outlets and could not get to power it back on. I then left it unplug for about an half hour with no results. I then returned it back to target inwhich they gave me a receipt for a cash return because they did not have another console... smh! Oh plus i had Doom in the console im calling M$ on this ....

As of now the only problem I’ve had with my ps5 is that Astros playroom froze once. Hopefully that’s it. 😂

Most of the issues I've seen online are software / OS related and those can be addressed by updates.

Nothing bad has happened to me yet and hopefully won't. If it does, then I hope they will fix it. Stuff happens and clearly there have been some issues here. Hopefully Sony is on the ball getting them fixed. I've lived through two red rings of death and a faulty network card (MS literally took THREE MONTHS to get my console back to me on that one and I am still furious lol) If something does go wrong with my PS5 then I'm grateful that I have my Switch and Xbox to get me through until it's repaired.

I’ve only had miles morales crash on me once. Otherwise the console is fine. I seriously doubt it’s thousands of people having these issues. If so we wouldn’t need to rely on youtubers, especially crap gamer, to hear about it. It would be front page news.

More people bought PS than Xbox? I'd like to see the numbers to back up your claim.

I think the percentages of failures / total consoles sold is more important than how many consoles issues there are.

I only trusted the Series S at launch, so far working flawlessly. It did get a bit hot yesterday, but realised, it didn't have enough vent space in the AV space, so it was building up heat and then reusing it. Took it out and found a space where it fit outside the AV space, it's vertical now, but it doesn't get hot anymore.

This is the problem, MS and Sony have to work hard to make consoles that are significantly more powerful, and they aren't really suitable to fit in peoples TV area properly. They need a lot more space to breath and exhaust warm air.

Yeah, getting a console right on launch is never a great idea. People are getting all stressed over supply shortages and malfunctioning hardware, and there's barely even a handful of compelling "next gen" game to play right now. They'll just be waiting for the big releases that have all been delayed like the rest of us.

@Litchie: I've bought all of Nintendo consoles on launch since the GC and up and all of them worked flawless. Same goes for all of my computer components over the years. I've done 3 computer builds since 2002 and all components worked, maybe I just got lucky.

So no facts or proof, just your opinion. Gotcha.

Hmm there is going to be issues but I definitely could not put up with that noise coming out of the ps5, its funny how there is a few youtubers with problems and not just normal folk, fingers crossed its only a small amount of consoles with issues on both sides.

Both will have issues like all electronics as long as the issues are not widespread which so far it seems they’re not but time will tell

Yes, things aren't looking good for the PS5, reports of bricked consoles keep popping up. I hope this is something that could be fixed through a system update.

I also beta tested the snes.... Launch snes. I hate early 20s erioca... He sold it. :(

To be fair, the GameCube was fine-tuned hardware, even at launch. I maintain that when the bombs drop, the only thing that will be left are cockroaches and GameCubes.
