It makes sense. Considering how fast news spreads and how far out of proportion things can get online, I would keep it under wraps as well. The PS4 is already looking attractive in many ways, why would MS shoot themselves in the foot AGAIN.

But do people believe that cloud computing will show an immediate notable advantage for gaming?
Has cloud computing EVER provided an advantage? What other platform is using cloud computing for this kind of processing? I can't think of a single thing.

In what way, shape or form did you come to that conclusion? This is an irreverent troll thread using arbitrary figures to mask the fact that he is proving nothing.

To put it simply, its better for MS to say nothing than to confirm yet another weakness.
Oh, just saw your edit.
We agree then. :P

Microsoft has been hiding their specs behind the "CLOUD". Seriously, why don't they just tell us what the specs are?
anyone posting this just shows how easily you are fooled.cloud is their way to sneak DRM and always online  I sure have not seen anything cloud/game related that says otherwise.Cloud Power > PS4

I've only dealt with cloud computing in regards to render farms. But with a render farm, latency doesn't matter at all. Each frame is rendered to an individual image and stored in sequence for editing and compression later.
I don't see how cloud computing will benefit real time rendering anytime soon.

I have done a few posts on this. But even though MS has not officially announced the specs we have reliable info regarding the final specs. There sommit like this 8GB DDR 3, 32mb esram and compression/decompression movie engines. Clocks speeds have not been reported though, this obviously will impact one way or another. But yes I wish MS would officially announce something.infinite powers from the cutting-edge Microsoft Cloud Technology, only possible on the Microsoft Xbox One.

Question - Would you ever buy something without knowing it's specs? Would you buy an all in one gaming PC without knowing how powerful the GPU was? All you knew was that it had 8gbs of mystery ram and 5 billion transitors, or whatever that means?
any all in one pc would have the specs listed somewhere.in fact ,I just looked at my old pc and it says it right on the side what gpu it has.Question - Would you ever buy something without knowing it's specs? If most consumers were told the specs, they probably wouldn't understand it. They would judge the graphics and abilities off of reviews/commercials
[QUOTE="killzowned24"]Exactly. The Xbox one is a joke and MS is too ashamed to reveal the specs.

Based on what people have been saying: very few do And at the moment, I'm not taking any sides because most of the people saying it is super powerful or super weak are just gamers who haven't actually experienced the cloud on xbox one.[QUOTE="PinkiePirate"]

Digital Foundry ''Bottom line: if you're wondering why Xbox One has a weaker GPU than PlayStation 4, it's because both platform holders have similar silicon budgets for the main processor - Sony has used the die-space for additional compute units and ROPs (32 vs. 16 in One), while Microsoft has budgeted for ESRAM and data move engines instead. From the Xbox perspective, it's just unfortunate for Microsoft that Sony's gamble paid off - right up until the wire, it was confident of shipping with twice the amount of RAM as PlayStation 4.''[QUOTE="xhawk27"][QUOTE="PinkiePirate"]

However, through double agents, or more likely internal miss information Sony was able to pull the wool over Microsoft.
Sounds like some crazy conspiricy, but it would explain allot of Microsoft's initial confidence over specs & DRM.

True, they're in a bad spot, whatever they do, there'll be whining. The only thing left to do is go for the option where people will whine less.
If they know it's not as powerful, why would they boast about it. Plus right now, they don't need anymore negative news. 50% more powerful? Doubt it, only Sony said that. Everyone one else says 33%.
Also I just want to point out, while the cows are as usual falling for Sonys hype. IT'S A BLOODY APU. Lets be clear, they are designed to bring decent performance to affordable entry level computers... What you boast about, the PC gamer rightfully scoffs at. As much as I like APUs and plan on building a PC for someone with one, it is what it is and i'd stfu about it if I was you. Your CPU gets owned by good i5 and probably a low end one and your GPU isn't all that compared to the awesome dedicated GPUs AMD and Nvidia bring and are bringing out.
Get the PS4 and X1 for what they are, but if your expecting lot, your going to be surprised, console manufacturers can't afford to match maxed out PCs anymore on any level.
Why in the crap is anyone getting hyped about APUs like their about high end gaming. It's already causing compromises. From the Theif developer on why it's capped at 30fps 'I'd rather have better physics than a higher frame rate'. WOOOOOOOW PS4 = fantastic.
33% less and 50% more are both the same. nobody cares about pc except for basement dwelling hermits. If they know it's not as powerful, why would they boast about it. Plus right now, they don't need anymore negative news. 50% more powerful? Doubt it, only Sony said that. Everyone one else says 33%.

yeah.... NO...
memory is memory, GPU is GPU.
The data move engines are there only to backup the sluggish DDR3, they have nothing to do with the CUs of the GPU and they cant replace the lacking CUs in the GPU for the life of them.
Epic Fail post....
