I'm hardly a fanboy. I have about two PS2's and a PSP sitting ten feet from me. If you look at the GS scores, the 360 currently has significantly more high scoring games than the PS3. don't shoot the messenger.

Verge_6

No malice intended.  But statements like, "360 has more great games than PS3" tend to bring both lemmings and cows out of the woodwork.

Why would I want one when all the games I want to play currently are on the 360 and/or run better on it? And FYI, I'm getting one the day before MGS4 comes out. And you can say the PS3 has tons of great games now, but it does not have near as many as the 360, and that is a fact.

D0013ER

D0013ER, did you here that? It's a fact that 360 has better games. lol, and you say I want people to agree with me?

Although this guy isn't doing much to help the image of non-fanboy 360 fans, what I mean is you have a tendency to come down extremely hard on anyone for not sharing your degree of contempt for Microsoft. People who love Halo and are going to buy Halo 3 despite the flak are anything but ignorant. 360 owners aren't all chumps in the hands of MS, and you certainly shouldn't be feeling sorry for us (the normal fans, not lemmings). That's the kind of remarks that echo with, "I hate Microsoft and you should too."

I agree. I myself feel sometimes I'm so harsh to Microsoft. But doesn't it makes sense? If I love something, I want the world to love it too. It's no difference from what I hate, I want the world to hate it too. Nobody is perfect. However, I feel like 99% of the 360 fanbase are fans just because they hate Sony. I'm trying to change that perception, but fanboys is not helping it at all...

Well, as I said, according to GS scores, there are more high scoring games on the 360 at this time. I fail to see why that means we should be 'sad'.

On that I agree, no one should be feeling bad for us: least of all ourselves.

I've been playing Sony consoles since the day the PS1 came out. More than half of my collection is comprised of games for their platforms. Due to the lack of PS3 games coming out, I have no interest in purchasing a PS3 this year, and the 360 best suits my tastes for the time being. When someones says i should be 'sad' because of that, I WILL get pissed.

The point was too many choices is a bad thing. Sorry, I should've said it in Barney style in my OP. I'll keep that in mind for people like you next time.

shungokustasu

Here's the problem with this: even if Microsoft kept their offerings simple, you'd still hate the hell out of them. I've gotten the point by now, you hate Microsoft. All of it. Every last part. Anything they've ever touched or had a hand in. Any sentence with the word, "Microsoft" in it. You hate the individual letters that spell MICROSOFT. And that's okay, except for when you act like everyone else should feel the same way.

I made it clear. I hate Microsoft as a gaming company. I love Windows. I even have Vista. No, I don't want you to agree with me, just giving you something to think about.

What is there to hate MS as a gaming company. They made PC gaming what it is today by inventing Directx. If it wasnt for MS making Directx there wold be no doom since Directx made it possible and the industry would have beed very different for most genres since Doom had such a major impact on the industry.

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]So... are you going to game on that computer?shungokustasu

No, that's why I have a PS3. I gave up PC gaming a long time ago. I use my computer mostly for youtube, myspace, forums mostly.

And you're saying it's sad to be US?

Yes, for the 360 and Vista owners.

So you're segwaying this into an "eff 360" thread?...

No, Just touching on the "choices are good" debate. I think it's a stupid argument to say I have choices, so my system is better. The Mac commercial points out that choices is not always a good thing. M$ strategy is a big mistake.

A mistake that has currently given them domination in the OS and console market

Domination in the console market? I know you have to be joking about that. Hope you know M$ doesn't have a stranglehold on the OS anymore. Linux and Apple is slowly chipping away from them.

"Linux and Apple is slowly chipping away from them"

:|  are you on crack buddy? there is like a total of 7 linux users (I am not dissing linux, I have never really used it but hardly any one uses it) and the only people who own macs are schools and people who like the look of the case which is like I believe a total of 4% of the total market .

Microsoft was all flowers and lolly pops till they cut are balls off. They have hurt the industry just as much if not more then they have done good.

The most important thing to me in any electronic devices I buy is the company strategy. Longevity must be the top priority in a company strategy for me. Microsoft simple does not understand that term. Then you add on top they heavy on shooting games(least favorite genre). I like things simple, but Microsoft like to give you choices. Microsoft and I are so incompatible that I don't think I'll never support them again.

Yup the xbox360 gives you so many choices and every 3 months they come out with something new and better that cost more money.  But really all they are doing is saying give me some more money for nothing.  No hd dvd but now we have blu ray...LOL what a joke.

The PS3 also has many shooters coming out this year. Not to mention their best launch title was a first-person-shooter. The PS3 is about as heavy as the 360 on the shooting this year. Did you also forget that Sony is giving you a choice with the PS3 ? $500 and $600 model ring a bell ?

The 20GB model was discontinued. They give no choice at all. The $500 PS3 has already officially failed.

I got Vista and it's better than Xp which was better than all the other MS OSs.

Mac doesn't have a chance in hell at becoming popular.

Yes, for the 360 and Vista owners.

*blinks* I agree with the Vista part, but right now, there is hardly anything worth playing on the PS3. I'd think it is more sad to only have a PS3 for gaming at this point in time.

I totally disagree. PS3 has good games on it now. I can say this because I have one. Your point is invalid because you don't even have a PS3 to make such claim.

i have the right to say there are barely any good ps3 games then since i own a ps3. You also stated his opinion/thoughts were invalid cause he doesnt own a ps3. Then your bashing of the 360 and the 360 games that you have posted in SW are invalid as well then. hypocrite.

also you arent good with analogies. the ps3/games =/= car/gas was horrible. its more like ps3/electricity = car/gas

my ps3
