M$ Needs to Step Up or Get Out. We need Competition.

Competition where it matters, games. Nobody cares if they sell a ton of kinects and make a billion $ off Live fee's. If anything that is BAD competition, it gets other companies to keep their eye open on gimmicky marketable casual trash so they can make money rather then make some real games.

If anything M$ is more likely to get a company like Sony to SLOW DOWN on making games cause it's obviously fine money wise with multiplats and other sources of revenue. Plus it's not like Sony needs to even try to beat M$ in games, I could beat M$ in games and I don't have the first idea on how to make a game.

Think about it for a second, what is M$ bringing in terms of healthy competition to the industry that is a benefit to us gamers? Paid DLC? Live Fee's? Overpriced Proprietary Accessories? No Games? Overpriced overmarketed casual Kinect trash?

We need some fresh blood in the industry, someone who will actually scare Sony and turn that game making competition to 11.

MS already provides sony some decent competition.

Somebody needs to bring up that chart showing M$ has more quality exclusives.

Playing the "lol casual games" card is just as bad as what the lemmings are doing now by bragging about sales. The industry has changed and people have to deal with it. Hardcore gamers have no right to complain because they don't buy games and systems as extensively as casuals do. Without them we wouldn't have an industry at all.

PS3 has no games this year. Pretty easy to compete with that.

Microsoft is a plauge upon the gaming industry. Were it not for Halo, they wouldn't be here. They have 4 exclusives left, Fable is offcially dead, FOrza is being Milked, along with Gears, which is owned by Epic, if they wanted the PS3 could have it. The future of Halo rides on the upcoming 4. Without these, what does M$ have? A crappy motion detector? Over priced online; paying for PS+ is a superior deal to Live. PAying for it benefits nothing, there is no differenc in playing PSN or XBL. M$ is going to leech every last penny they can from there customers with no remorse for the value or advancement of this industry.

Microsoft and Xbox are a disgrace to the industry. If Microsoft is doing their business in the similar way of Sony's strategy, it would be better for the industry as a whole because there would be decent games coming out for the Xbox, and gives a tough competition for Sony. Then the world would be a better place, especially for gamers.

If Microsoft disagree with me and prefer to stick with their horrid strategy, then I have the desire for the Xbox to go out of business and die.

I agree that Microsoft needs to step their game up, they are one of the richest companies in the world and they refuse to use that money to make a superior product against companies that are much, much smaller than they are.

However, if you think Microsoft isnt good competition for Sony you are being ridiculous, Microsoft made Sony a better gaming company, period.

The problem with Microsoft is that they arent really that passionate about gaming, its not even close to their biggest money maker, if they dropped out of gaming industry all together they wouldnt even blink, they will still be one of the biggest companies in the world regardless.

Kinect has caught storm and is moving lots of consoles on store shelves (same deal with casual games). Who is honestly going to sell their Xbox 360 along with all of their games this long into the life cycle? Most would keep the system and continue buying exclusive games and multiplats for it. Those who own a 360 are already satisfied with multiplats and probably don't want to make the jump to PS3, it's unnecessary. Why would Microsoft waste money on exclusive games when they don't need to? Only spend money that's worth spending, and if it isn't worth spending then save it!

You say this, and yet the 360 is selling more units than the PS3. As stupid as you may think that question is, it's the truth. The gamers can complain all they want, they're still going to buy multiplats, they're still going to buy Halo 4, and they're still going to pay for DLC such as Dawnguard. Microsoft makes their share out of those who already have 360's, and like I said, they're not going to sell their 360's anytime soon. Doing so would render a large portion of their gaming library useless.

You can dislike them all you want, but they're making money and that's all they care about.
