Madden sold more on PS4

Don't you find it pretty ironic since it's Xbox which had Madden marketing rights? And there was Madden 1 TB bundle for Xbox One.

Or is it because Spencer is moving away from bro-association with the brand?

Or was it because Sony was giving away Madden digital copies to anyone who bought PS4 in the last week of August and thus inflated sales results?

Maybe it's because the Ps4 is a much more appealing and popular product this generation. There's only so much marketing can do for you if the competition has been letting you eat dust from the beginning.

The sales from Madden X1 bundles didn't go towards the NPD count as didn't digital downloads (EA access members had special discounts and could unlock the game early). X1 could've had a significant lead for all we know.

Doesn't the majority of multiplats always sell better on PS4 than Xbone? It has a larger install base.

Also remember MS also had DLC first for the previous two COD games and yet it stiill got outsold by the the PS4 versions and the Xbone version also ran in lower resolutions.

I'm not sure if your goal is to try and make fun of PS4 for taking away MS' bro gamer advantage it used to have, but if you think about it, bro gamers make up a huge portion of gamers in the U.S. (Microsofts homeland) MS over taking the U.S. In sales should be their top priority. So this is terrible news for them.

I don't know how and why they don't track bundles. I was always curious of how much Knack bundles were being sold to PS4 owners.

Everything has been selling better on PS4. Last gen Japanese and cutesy games often sold better on PS3 than X360 but mature western games usually did better on X360. But not this time.

I'm currently waiting in line for Amiibo. I brought up how it sucked that the new wave released today because there was a football game last night that I had to watch and I had to wake up at 5:30 to get in line. Too many games releasing for XB1. I own Madden 15 and just dont see a big reason to purchase outside of Draft Champions. GOW and Forza 6 exclusives, along with Mad Max , MGS, and NBA 2K16. There just isnt much time for Madden 16 on the XB1. Maybe next year.

@Heil68: Target is the only site that did Amiibo preorders (lasted seconds) and TRU had an exclusive. Amiibo collecting is pretty crazy.

Yeah I get bored of sports games now so I'm not buying them anymore. Way too many games to put the time into being good in Madden or Nba 2K games anymore.

More people do own a PS4. Why is it hard for people to fathom this gen that the games will sell more on the system with a larger install base? It was about the same way last gen. More copies of a game were sold for the 360 than PS3 and the 360 had the bigger user base (most of the gen)

It's not really surprising the game sold the best on the platform with the most sales. The marketing may have been more focused on the Xbox One version, but everybody knows Madden is on the Playstation and Xbox. Madden isn't going to convince people to buy one over the other.
