i dont trust playstation biased sites for reviews...same goes for 360 and wii sites... I actually find platform specific sites and mags the harshest. I remember one playstation magazine gave Warhawk a 6.5. That review was so wrong.

I hope 8.5 to 9.0 because the game is really good. There is no lag or slow down in games, the wait to get into a 64 person game is very short (I have yet to get in a 256, not high enough rank... been playing too much ME2), the unlocks and attachments are able to set themselves apart from other games, the maps are very well designed, the sound design is very well done, and the combat/gunplay is solid. Over all, the game is very good. MW2 is very different and it is more like a Battlefield game in terms of scale and gameplay, which I prefer. I'm also in the PC BF:BC2 beta right now and I still find myself wanting to play MAG here and there, and going against a Batlefield game, that says a lot for a new IP on a console.
i leaning towards 8 or 8.5 but when i remember infamous, i can really see this game getting a 9 .

inFAMOUS always looked to be a great game, this one....have my doubtsInfamous was hated on in system wars. How about MGS4? I remember after GS wrote that article blasting Konami for inviting reporters over, people were claiming it was gonna bomb and I quote specifically remember one user saying "It would be lucky to get a 6.5", then BAM, a perfect 10. But yeah, Infamous got quite a bit of hate, as did Demon Souls when it first popped up on SW with people claiming it was a cheap oblivion rip off and other stupid stuff like that. And people also flamed Warhawk for being online only and having no multiplayer, and that game got 8.5. Basically, anything can happen here on GS :D
i would of gave it a 9 if it was 40 bucks or fullprice with a headset.. but because its full price with no head said.. ,.... wait for it..... wait... 7.5

Basically, anything can happen here on GS :D GS is full of surprises ........ they gave Halo wars 6.5, infamous, Demon souls and Halo3: OSTD a 9, MAG could be another surprise especially with the postive impression it has been recieving lately.

I agree with that. inFamous was a fairly innovative game that benefitted from exceptional controls, gameplay mechanics and nice presentation. It's not a generic game by any means. MAG however looks to be very generic in its core gameplay/graphics etc. Though inFamous didn't have great graphics, they were still distinctive with nice colours and looked very good in places. MAG has a very washed-out, meh look to it. While inFamous also came with great sound effects and an awesome composed musical score to match, MAG's sound is pretty mundane. There's no way it will get a 9.0 and I don't think its situation is all that comparable to inFamous'.
And I'd presume logically that it'd be higher than that, if he's thoroughly enjoying it.

There's more to games than just the "fun factor". Just read gamespot's latest review of Blood Bowl, he made have had a good time with the game, but it still only got a 5.5

looks to me like 5 sites gave it a 7......it has 77 at metacritic, looks to me at gamespot it will be lucky to get 7...
