Magna Carta 2 Easily the best JPRG/KRPG This Generation.

lost odyssey, and Tales of vesperia were both great and fantastic games, But

Magna Carta 2 is easily the best JPRG this generation, And I think it is Embarrassing for IGN to rate it so low.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After my first play through, the Voice acting in this game, is so good and so realistic, you get sucked into the characters, and the world like no other game this gen.

The gameplay is very solid, with skill tree's and chains which make the combat fun and interesting all the way through the game.

The story is by far the best since Lost Odyssey, its not just about some kid who lost amnesia, there is a war going on, and the characters shine on the story telling. (The only small complaint is the mini cutscene's could have been worked on a tad better).

There is basically 0 Loading time in this game, there is no loading during combat either, and no frame rate drops.

Ive played ever JRPG in the past 10 years, as well as this gen (=360 ps3 era) this game tops out.

Nope they redid the lipsynceing entirely, its nothing like Star ocean for example, the mouth moves perfectly as the English characters speak.

and the cast is top par, no cringe worth voices at all.

I thought I changed that post :x to JRPG. I was thinking of both of them, but typed CRPG. Even though it literally is a CRPG.

The gameplay does tend towards WRPG, and that's typically what the dev was going for.

The Disgaea games never get any attention anymore :(

I haven't played MC2, but from the looks of it (and the scores), ToV is the superior game.

Okay, well lets go through a couple of things, first off, I hate what the in-game character models look like, and I I've heard this group of voice actor in about 30 other titles, I'm sick of hearing them, for the most part, a lot of common VAs did Persona 4 excellently, but don't seem to put in the same effort into other games, and I'm just sick of hearing their voices in general I suppose.

The combat system looks like Infinite Undiscovery, which I liked, but seriously, I don't see how this game can touch Tales of Vesperia, its one of the best Tales games, and that series has quite a long stretch back, maybe I'll give MC2 a try when its like $15, or give it a rental or something, but I don't see anything special about it, and neither do reviewers.

Also, its NEVERwinter Nights, Nether? not even close.

I think its one of the worst. This gen, Valkyria Chronicles seconded by Lost Odyssey take the title of Best JRPGs by far.

Plus why would jRPGs be based on location of country, while wRPGs be based not on geography, but on cultural selection (that's how the western world is understood in your wikipedia link).
