Hold off getting a PSP until the Slim version arrives, loads faster and has a better battery life along with more functions. As for games, I've not a clue what to refer seeing as I don't know what your tastes are. The Killzone game is good, Syphon Filter too, Daxter, Metal Gear Solid: PO, GTA games are good, Burnout is great - really, just check out www.metacritic.com and go to the PSP section under game reviews and see what games rank the highest.

Do you like ratchet and clank. Ratchet and clank size matters for the psp is a really good ratchet game. I know people complain about the controls but seriously, they're just nitpicking. If you've already played a ratchet game, the learning curve of this game is about half and hour and the controls are just fine. It's just as good as any ratchet game if not better (it's portable, ratchet looks really good)
