I also just saw someone with a Unicorn and Minataur pet.

Now that is way cooler than anything Nintendo is doing with their Miis on the Wii (outside of putting them in games).

It's interesting, but not that big of a deal.

MS really has the best form of avatar, I like them more than Miis or the avatar/home creations from Sony. I'd like to have a LBP or MNR like designpossibility for avatars though :S And somehow the stuff for the avatar is insanely expensive. I wanted to get a light saber when they were released but they are too expensive and just not worth buying IMO

mostly how they charge you for clothing or Avatar items... which is dumb, because you can't do anything with Avatar items! i mean for $5 i'd rather buy a game, or 5 indie games

360 Avatars > Miis >>> Home Avatars

I like the way in Xbox you have your own personal gaming profile with pets, cloth and game rankings. But it should be free like to get a pet you have to get that achievment or that many achievment to get that thing or play that game on 5 hours and you get this. That could be so much cooler!

Miis are pretty much the epitome of coolness.

If this kind of stuff turns you on, try Sims 3...thats right up your alley.

There's really no harm in Avatars, Miis, or whatever other digital representations they come up with. If you don't want to use them, then don't use them. But don't take away from those who do.

I don't understand why people are complaining about buying stuff for your avatar because I don't buy any of these items and dress up my avatar just fine.

The Xbox Live Avatars are the best work Rare has done in the past 5 years.

I think clothes for Xbox avatars and PS Home avatars should be unlocked with achievement points and trophies, respectively. Those useless score cards need something worthwhile attributed to them.
